Dating a girl with 2 dogs! HELP

Question

Alright, I&#x27;m 25, have owned my own house for the past 2&#x2B; years. Never grew up with dogs and never been a huge fan of them. This girl I&#x27;ve been dating for alittle over a month has 2 dogs, and she&#x27;s been staying over a few times a week. She lives about 15-20 min across town. She&#x27;s IN LOVE with these dogs and says it&#x27;s a deal breaker if I can&#x27;t compromise. She suggested she buy 2 kennels and she would keep them in my porch when she&#x27;d come over and stay...I&#x27;m getting alittle worried that it&#x27;s only been a month plus and she&#x27;s already moving her dogs into my house when she&#x27;s here. I dont mind the one dog, but neither are potty trained, and I dont want my house/porch smelling like dog/dog piss. I like hanging with this gal, but this seems to be a road block for me...advice?

If you truly dig this woman, I&#x27;m sure through time you can learn to accept her dogs entirely...piss and all!&#xD;&#xA;Otherwise if you just can&#x27;t do it then of course the only alternative is to dump her and the next time you fall for another broad, for crying out loud make sure she has no dogs or other pets.

A little over a month isn&#x27;t enough time for her to be setting deal breaking rules on your decision making process with her dogs. &#xD;&#xA;These types tend to be very clingy, needy, fearful of being alone and highly emotional. I would tell her that the relationship needs to evolve a bit more before you make this kind of manuever to house her children - I mean dogs. &#xD;&#xA;Single women that have TWO dogs are to be observed carefully. They typically have very intense obsession with their animals because they humanize them.

I had the feeling this day would come since we&#x27;ve been dating...but was just waiting it out. Also note that I haven&#x27;t stayed at her apartment yet. The dogs sleep with her and whoever else is in the bed. And they&#x27;re not kenneled up during sex. Currently she&#x27;s been staying over 3 maybe 4 times a week. It&#x27;s only a matter of time before the dogs start moving into the house and onto the bed. HELL NO is my answer to that. But once they start staying in the porch couple times a week, it&#x27;s inevitable.

If you&#x27;re a clean freak like me and they shed, you&#x27;re gonna probably kill both of them. If they don&#x27;t shed you&#x27;ll be okay. Both of are guy are house broken but shed like all hell. I&#x27;m counting the days until they are gone. I&#x27;m not an animal lover by any means.

You two getting to know each other better is number 1 priority. Her dogs are number 2. Tell her that. If she doesn't fully understand then move on, she's a loony.

Mount her doggishly and have her blow you with gravity boots on before you say a word though.

Yes, they shed...and seem to give off the dog odor at her apartment. I wouldn't say I'm a clean freak, but I've never had a roommate and having her around a few days/nights out of the week is nice, but I dont think I can accept 2 dogs. They are only staying the porch which is closed off from the house. I've always told myself I wouldn't have a dog in the house...and this is pushing it.

She's told me her dogs are like her kids and they're a package deal...and I've told her straight up that i dont like her dogs.

Get yourself some chocolate bars. Anytime she is not looking, feed this chocolate to the dogs. This should solve your problems. You may have to live with the guilt of murdering animals for the rest of your life. But if Mike Vick can do the same and later earn a $100 million dollar contract then like KG said "ANYTHINGS POSSIBLE!!!!!!!!"

A good buddy of mine had a similar experience with a really wonderful gal. She too, came with multiple dogs. Not just dogs, but sickly dogs. She chose to spend her earnings on keeping these dogs alive. To the tune of having over 5 figures of debt. Which is asinine to me. This caused a rift between the two of them and eventually the relationship ended.

She has an older beagle that I can stand, but the other one is a 8 month year old boxer who doesn't sit still and seems to run into everything. She doesn't talk to them in a baby voice. The boxer stays in her kennel when she's gone and it ends up pissing in its kennel and stinking up her apartment. She stayed over last night and brought weeks worth of laundry and forgot her detergent...I may be nit picking but I've never had or needed a roommate, or lived with a chick either. She's only staying a few nights, but things are going pretty quick.

If you decide you want to form a long term relationship with this girl, I would recommend taking your kids to dog training once or twice a week.

Youll both be surprised at some of the positive changes a good instructor can help you with. Plus,its a good way to get to know each other. Instead of just in bed or at the end of a bottle.Good luck

It will not get any better over time.Wait until they are sick and piss and puck in the house and she wants you to "understand" it is not their fault and you get to clean it up because she is with the poor sick pet.As they get old she will want to make sure they are as comfortable as possible and any rules go out the window for the sake of the dog comfort.Again... It is not going to get any better...
