Does Anyone like Colin Cowherd? Really, anyone?

Question

I have been watching his show or the last 6 months or so and find him entertaining (funny) and is ussually dead on when it comes to the gambling aspect of sports......I told a friend to check him out and I thought he was going to throw up rigt then and there by his facial expression....He said nobody admits to liking the guy and most people hate him........I searched the internet and found my friend may be right......Why does EVERYBODY hate this guy?

Everybody hates him because he has common sense and most of his opinions arent PC....he doesnt let espn tell him what to say. He gets that sports isnt the real world and usually puts that into perspective. People tend to dislike other who are straightforward and smarter than them....he probably comes off pompous and smug to most.

He capitalizes on the fact that most people who watch sports, think they know sports, when in reality, they don't. As previously mentioned, he is a smart guy, and he actually understands what he sees when he watches sports. His opinions are often not what the majority of the masses would think, so he gets tons of banter on his show, and the large majority of sports fans hate him. He goes out of his way to counter the popular opinion.

I think he is great, I learn a lot from his show, and would definitely rank him light years ahead of Mike and Mike and some of those other bozos on ESPN.

Love the guy.First national radio guy to not only not judge this thing of ours, but talks about it and dedicates a big portion of his show to it.Jt the brick wised up over the last year and now discusses it frequently too.

Very perspicacious views on things besides sports. Mostly agree wih him.  Some of it may be schtick.  But overall been a fan of his for years on the radio. Never have time to see TV show. Hope it&#x27;s good as well. I feel he makes you think somewhat.  The only thing I don&#x27;t like is how he almost never gives callers a chance to have a back and forth.  But that&#x27;s just a nitpicky thing with me.  I have turned quite a few folks into him.

He brags too much for my taste.  he predicts a lot of games, sometimes he takes both sides, he is going to guess correctly on a lot of games, he doesn&#x27;t need to brag about he was right "and everyone else was wrong"...

Guys a super class act, he's funny and respects everybody's opinion on all subjects. Herd is the only guy I watch.

Favorite guy on sports radio right now. The people who don't like him are 99% of the time low IQ guys and don't like the fact that he destroys their rigged theories and isn't a fanboy.

He was reading a nasty email one day and the guy told him "you don't know shyt about the NFL" and hes like really? and you do? "I have lunch with three ex NFL players every single day have you ever even MET one?" kinda just saying how the people who badmouth him are always just idiots

With all that said he can be VERY opinionated and get whiny and overtalk some things but it's a one man 3 hour radio show I don't know any sports radio host that doesn't do this

Yeah I like the guy and find him entertaining....I guess I am not the only one.....He did take a cheap shot at Dan Patrick and and Patrick shredded him for it.....Not sure why Colin wanted to make a big deal about which sports talk hosts are lazy and which work hard. Nobody cares.....I just want to be entertained.....The time and efffort that goes into it, thats on you.......Nobody is worse than Skip Baylesss.....Nobody, I dont care if hes is the hardest working guy at ESPN.....Sore loser, should not be on TV, Stephen A and Carey a always bailing him out when he screws up.....The last thing he should be doing is debating on TV.....He looks so uncomfortable on camera...Steven A could make the guy look like even more of an idiot if he waned to....

he repeats himself a lot and likes the sound of his own voice but I guess thats part of working on radio but he's the only person on eps apart from Kornheiser who I bother to watch/listen to on a regular basis.

His idiosyncratic views on life/marriage/jobs/relationships etc are always interesting to listen to, he hasn't sold out like a lot of his peers

You know he hates wrestling probably more than you, right?Personally...I&#x27;m a big fan. He&#x27;s the only one I can listen to on that network. I miss him and Beadle as a part of SportsNation. I don&#x27;t care too much for Mike and Mike. I don&#x27;t like SVP, Lebatard, etc.Herd is awesome

Fan of Colin.  He tells it how it is most of the time. If you want to hear about a minor college or conference the show is not for you.
