We weren't more violent in the 60's due to comics,TV,rock music,Viet-nam,R-movies or in the 90's with video games and internet porn.CC admits to being Progressive and like a good Progressive he doesn't just entertain you but since he's brighter then you he must teach you also.When he wanders into something that he may not have a great deal of life experience that doesn't stop him from explaining how he "feels" because thats all that matters to a Progressive. Where did he hone this great intellect and field of research?after he dropped out of college to work a TV station in LasVegas?? Don't listen to what he says just listen to how it makes you feel. Cowherd gets ratings....he plays the "heel" role on espn radio; pretty much the rest of their radio lineup are cut from the happy-go -lucky mold....Colin is supposed to be the hard truth realist of the group.
CC is one of those guys that relates every single thing in sports, and in his social commentaries, to money. Does anyone have any idea why?? I'll give you a hint......it is because he is making 7 figures a year...
CC equates EVERYTHING back to the dollar......because it is a game he is beating darn near all of us at. 
For the record, I cannot stand Colin. Just my 2 cents. I thought that Jim Harbaugh pretty much ignoring CC's stupid interview questions was priceless. "I am a 4.3 wide receiver Jim...why should I come to Michigan?"......Jim hits him with a question back..."You are?" 
One more thing....there aren't many ways of speaking more pretentious than the rapid fire abbreviated sentence (which supposedly illustrates a "hard truth") followed by a long pause......like he just dropped some serious knowledge on the listener. Brilliance on display fellas...
Give me Jay Mohr on Mohr sports any day...at least Jay can make me laugh.
At the end of the day, this stuff is personal preference...so if you guys like him, rock on.

The one and only guy who would deal honestly with spreads in the NFL and NCAA (He wouldn't just pick a game like an idiot if Alabama was playing Rutgers. He'd tell you if he was laying the 42 or not).
What a shame.
Bill Simmons and Colin Cowherd were the only two reasons I watched/listened to/read ESPN.
Fox Sports is probably going to shower them both with 1.5 times their salary.
