Very clever. That's how you know this gambling garbage is set up. They set those rules up and pretty much..you couldn't win if you bet on the reigns match, lol.
 

Because a triple threat and the winner was not an option

Not stepping on toes, just my observations:


Massively inflated odds almost always give away the winner.  Obviously Lesnar last year represents the "almost"...among a few others.  This particular event, I literally refreshed the odds every few minutes (for the last 3/4 of the show).  What I noticed were two things:

1) the ODDS of eventual winning person(s)/bet, came down as the prior match ended...still a noticeable favorite nonetheless.  But we're talking down from -11000 to -7000 or so.  **Diva match is the only one that stayed the same (-2000 on AJ/Paige)

2) in the main event, the odds came down with 3 matches to go (Lesnar from -1500 to -900...Reigns went to +500; no idea on the shift).  Point is, it was "determined" already -- ironic as it is.

The prop for MITB briefcase will be cashed vs. won't was already taken down.  Not to mention, that particular bet was NOT parlay-able...which now makes sense.  I attempted it twice, only because the odds were low enough.  
The line on the main event was under -200 for most of the week, it never got so out of line that there was no question.  Meanwhile, the Cash-in vs. No Cash-in appeared, and that actually got as high as -500.  



bottom line is that for Lesnar/Reigns bets, it's gonna be cancelled.  It only hurts if you were alive to a good parlay--in my case, I have an open parlay with Brock +180/HHH +700/AJ -280...sucks to have it "halved" by a cancellation, but keeps the juicy HHH bet going.

My bet was not cancelled. It was graded as a loss. Which is BS since the winner wasn't an option. But I only threw a couple bucks down on +600 so I'm not making a big fuss about it. Still just seems like a scam or something lol

Everyone knew there was a chance Rollins would cash in. That is the risk you run when you bet on the Main Event. It is inherent in the risk with the MITB briefcase out there.

Well, you want to hit up those odds before they skyrocket (and I had a thread on how to do that). Anyhow, your observations are sound. The point is, we are trying to hit up these matches to make a profit before the massively inflated odds occur, which is possible, but yes, they almost always determine the winner (except for Lesnar Taker last year which will probably stand as the biggest upset of all time, WrestleMania match or gambling on Wrestlemania.

As a side note Sting was -900 and HHH was +500 and Sting lost. I noted in another thread that a swerve either between this match or Taker/Bray was a possibility. It wasn't all that shocking to see one of the two go the other way.

Personally, I loved Wrestlemania.

I'm a sucker for old school surprises so seeing DX and the NWO come out was awesome to me. It makes sense, thinking about it now, that HHH won because it's an ego thing with WWE beating WCW so I understand the outcome. HHH doing what he has to do to win, just like WWE did.

I loved the Rock/Rousey set up. I didn't see that coming at all. "Ronda's gonna kill you" was awesome. Given her contract with UFC, I never, in a million years, would have thought she would be allowed to get in the ring. Just a cool moment.

I thought the Taker/Wyatt match was good. They got the push for Wyatt by having him kick out of the Tombstone and I enjoyed the duel stand up when Wyatt did his thing and Taker sat up and scared him. It was predictable but cool, regardless.

I loved how they main event was going. Lesnar stayed strong. Reigns didn't get much offense except for turning in a "Super Cena" effort on the Superman Punches but I like how he was getting his asss kicked but smiled throughout. And I give a ton of credit to Lesnar because when he was pushed into the pole and was busted open, I honestly thought he got a concussion or something serious and I didn't know if he was going to get back into the ring. Maybe he did, I haven't checked up on it yet, but he sold that to perfection if he didn't. And if he did...even better. He finished the match.

Rollins' cash in was a twist by doing it during a match that hadn't ended yet. That worked well. Made Reigns look a bit weak by not kicking out of a straight curb stomp considering Rollins had to set up Lesnar twice and that still wasn't enough.

And that Orton v Rollins finish was incredible. Orton is amazing at doing incredible offensive moves and Rollins is incredible at selling incredible offensive moves on him (Reigns spear/this RKO). I still remember Orton doing his RKO on Bourne when he did his flip. Incredible finish to that match.

And I don't have the official time for Taker's entrance but it was well over 5 minutes because of the stare down...the cheers...and then the fight starting before the match even started. I stopped my clock at 5:04, which was over the 285 second mark.

Anyone know what the odds for Show winning the Battle Royal was? That one surprised me. It shouldn't have since Show/Andre is the obvious comparison but I don't get what they will make out of this.

And, having Cena and DB win, I guess you have to have a real heel being the champ given the crowd is now officially behind Lesnar and creative seems to not want to turn Reigns.

Last I'd seen (hour or so before match), Show was +900.

Agree with everything.

Dropped $60 so I could DVR it on 50 inches of TV and it was worth every penny.

Can't believe they cut the Battle Royal. That was the Mizdow Miz angle they waited months to reveal.

Regret not making the easiest bet of the night: rock in the ring at any time. It was -120 for most of the time it was posted.

I had takers entrance at 4:35. It was only 5+ if you count it to the first bell (which I wouldn't because after he took his hat off, the lights came up, hence, signaling the end of the 'entrance' in theory). I wonder how they graded it.

The main event was just outstanding. But once I saw Lesnar killing Roman like Cena, I knew there was no way he'd take it down.

No PS4 or XBOX? I streamed the Network on my TV too and no issues and I can re-watch it on there as well.

As far as Undertaker's entrance goes...it said from first gone to first bell so it went over. It was getting close but ended up going well over because they paused for an Undertaker chant and then the first attack before the bell.

X-Pac is also usually associated with both groups but it's understandable that they went that route. I didn't know who was left and was hoping that somebody would come out to help Sting after HBK came out but I was never a WCW guy so I wouldn't have been able to know if he had any other singular allies like HBK for Triple H.

Great WM. No problems. I thought Triple H's entrance was really cool. We know he's always over the top but I enjoyed the Terminator theme.

Apparently Bray had a severely sprained ankle going into his match and couldn't walk backstage. He had a cast on and I didn't notice any problems so credit to him.

Loved it all.
