I have been addicted to chew, cigs, snus, e cigs, you name it. It really isn't hard to quit imo. Buy a few black and milds, snus, ecigs, and ween off for a week. a benzo could help with the sleepless nights, so could alcohol (dont mix). I used to pack a tin of skoal mint or two every day. Very glad I quit the habit 2 years ago. I used to pack a dip when i woke up, after breakfast, while watching sportcenter after breakfast, during work (if possible to sneak one), ON THE SHITTER, after any meal, during movies, any sporting event, after sex, poker. I can go on all day. You will feel so relieved once you're out of the game. You'll save over 2500 a year easy and future dental work. Quit and keep on top of oral cancer tests each time you get a cleaning. If you catch it early it's not too hard to nip in the butt from what i've heard and its good for the piece of mind. good luck

Goose, cold turkey is not an option. I need a product that takes me down gradually. Nicotine is the the strongest addiction in the world. Ask an ATF agent - I personally know 3 agents at the gym.
#1 drug that people are most willing to to comitt a crime to aquire. Horses mouth.

alcohol, opiate and benzo addictions all seem like much worse withdrawals from what ive heard. You can die from few of them. One week of feeling like crap and sleepless nights if you do go cold turkey then its all mental after that. Get over the physical withdrawal and man up

Cold turkey no way in hell. I tried that once, unable to communicate or function.
You can do it. Four hours at a time. Baby steps. Once you get through the first three or four days you will be free. Just four hours at a time and you will be free. Baby steps. Four hours at a time.

I dipped for about 12 years when I was younger. Quit a couple times, only to pick it back up again. I ended up quitting cold turkey, but only because deep down I really wanted to. If you want it bad enough, you can do it. If you really don't want to quit, my experience tells me you won't.
The part I struggled with the most was not having something to chew on. I ate sunflower seeds for a little while, just to have something to do to keep my mind and mouth occupied. Driving or riding in the car was brutal at first. Deer season was tough as well. But, like anything else, it can be beaten.
I truly believe the addiction is more mental than physical. Stay focused and take it one day at a time. Don't look too far ahead.
Sounds like cheesy advice, but it's exactly how I beat it. Good luck, search.

i once bought cans of this fake chew mint like dirt. beaver chew i believe it was called. It was supposed to mimic the oral fixation of the dip while you quit.
