Ever Met Anyone Famous?

 

I met Ali. Very nice guy. We talked for 5+ minutes alone, one on one just two guys talking while he was waiting for his car with his silent friend on Sunset at the Palm Steak house. super nice guy. 1994.

Bfd for me, it was pretty amazing. He understood every word that I said and I did his words. Quite an experience.

Met quite a few athletes back in the 80's-90's while working for a delivery service ..

I’m a swimming pool contractor in Los Angeles. I have a list you would not believe. Most have been very cool, but it could be cause I’m at their home. The big ones are

George Steinbrenner, Jane Fonda, David Berkowitz, Geraldine Ferraro.

I thought Ferraro was bad enough...

But BERKOWITZ???

Jeeez, you guys aren't very discriminating. Of those names you thought Ferraro and Berkowitz weren't bad enough ?

While attending Manhattan College in the Bronx in the late 60's and early 70's, I also worked full-time at the GPO ( General Post Office ) in the South Bronx, somewhat infamously known at the time as  burnt out 10451.That's where I met Berkowitz. Not saying we went out on weekends together "hunting" for girls, and I really didn't get to know him , but we were co-workers (along with thousands of other postal workers).

I'll concede if anyone has a Jeffrey Dahmer story ?

Met Troy Aikman with his family as he was shopping at the UCLA store in city walk in LA. He was real nice - I was 14 at the time he chatted with me for a bit, was surprised by my football knowledge.

 

Met Jonah Hill going for a walk in the Hollywood hills (aunt and uncle live a couple streets over) - he was an ass and wanted nothing to do with us. I was older about 29 at the time just tried to say what up Jonah.

At airport in Salt Lake City waiting to board a plane,I was 10 yrs. old and brother was 9 yrs.old when my dad whispered to both of us not to state but across the way was Evil Kneival. We tried and tried not to look over there but Evil caught us cause we were his biggest fans. A couple minutes later he limped over to us using his cane and introduced himself and asking our names. He was very cool and warm with both of us, than asked my dad for a pen. On the back of a boarding pass he wrote, To Bobby and Joey, Happy landings! Love Evil Kneivel. He shook my father's hand, said complimentary words to my bro and I then walked backed to his wife and couple others and boarded his plane to Butte, Montana. 

Quite a few athletes. The most recent being Sammy Watkins last May in XS at the Wynn. 

Played about 30 minutes of blackjack with Willie Nelson at a riverboat casino close to Cincinnati.  He had performed earlier that night and smelled like urine.  

George Clooney was at Yankees Spring Training 1999...i was too shy to talk to him tho  he was taking photos with everyone, very handsome

Didn't actually meet him, but was at the Palms w my degenerate friends watching games and Floyd Mayweather came in with what looked like his entire family tree,lol. Suppose it was his entourage, but what really made me  laugh was how all these older guys immediately jumped out of their seats and started taking pics of him like Jesus had just walked in,lol. I mean I respect the dude and he's a legend, but for some reason felt no need to leap out of my seat to see Floyd place his insanely large bet on whoever it was. Can't remember exactly what he bet on but heard he lost. It's neither here nor there but just got a chuckle out of all the grown behind men acting like teenage girls who had just seen the Biebs walk in,lol.

Tom Petty bought drinks for my girlfriend and our friends back in the 90's.  A beach club called the Sand Bar in Florida. Petty left after paying the tab but we wound up hanging out with Stan Lynch at his beachfront house. Good times. 

 

I saw Phill Rizzuto on the highway in traffic on the way to the Yankees Baltimore game a long time ago.  He was in his Green Cadillac and I was drinking beers and saw him.  I rolled down the window and waved and rolled his window down and said hi.  I told him it was my birthday and for him to wish me happy birthday on WPIX. He was broadcasting at the time.   I guess he forgot.  I hung out with Wade Boggs who is a friend of one of my brothers friends at Parrot Island in Baltimore. He was real cool.  

Did a YouTube video with Miesha Tate. I never watched it. Never will. I was forced into it. I looked like a stuttering nervous retard.

I went to a Detroit tigers spring training practice at marchant stadium in lakeland florida and got to see actor Tom Selleck practice in a tigers uniform on the field. He was preparing for his film Mr. Baseball.

Wade Boggs (Red Sox & Yankees) was famous for his West Coast Air Trips.  Was not unusual for him to down a 24 pack of beer in his seat for three hours... WITHOUT PIZZING!!!

  I did hear him say that once he got scared because him and president clinton stayed at the same hotel once and  because the secret service  came around to his room and had dogs sniffing for bombs and rodney had some weed in his suitcases.
