It was off the coast of Southern California. They hauled the big shark on to the back of their truck in plain sight of other motorists. It's not every day where you get to see a big shark while driving. The picture is in the link below.

Seems like a waste to me. I think someone caught a 16 pound snakehead in Va recently, possibly the U.S. record, and since they are an invaisive species i dont consider that to be a waste. Fishing

amazing catch. I normally release my fish back into the ocean, but if I caught a world record mako I'm 100% no remorse keeping that boy. I caught a 26 inch striped bass last night and threw it back because It was 2 inches too small. Follow the laws of the ocean and the fish will be fine as a whole. Go waste your breath on the japanese scal.They are the real problem

Since the shark is a world record 1300 pounds, the fishermans will not give up the shark unless the price is right.
I hope to heck no one gives him the dough, but i'm sure he will profit off it.Probably got it on video.One thing sure certain, if we keep taking from the top off the species, its bound to affect future generations.Just a matter of time.

Grilled some Bass last week. Keep plugging away Been a tough year for me for Bass as the weather sux and the boat just blew an injector. On the subject at hand. I hope they had a short ride without being iced down. makes no sense to ruin the steaks thou I'm not sure how the huge mako's taste

Yeah, i imagine a farm or river caught bass taste about the same as a 1600 pd shark.Who the hell eats bass anyway, cept for a starving person. What really makes no sense is them taking the guy in the 1st place.
