Oops I meant to say... !  Very good advise.  I would love to hear what he has to say if he tries to get his CO to place a bet for him.  Everyone (including people in basic training) get some R&amp;R time.  Most bases I know of have internet connections.  Get an offshore account and gamble that way.  However, there will not be much time (if any at all) to place many bets during basic training.  Plus I would strongly urge you to just focus on one hell at a time.  BOL!

&#xD;&#xA;If you can get to a private computer, then you may be in luck. I suggest getting a labtop for that, if you desparately have to get in on some actions. However at your MOS school, govt computers don&#x27;t have access to gambling sites. You&#x27;d be a fool to even attempt it.

&#xD;&#xA;One thing they&#x27;ll teach you in boot camp or shortly thereafter is to be financially responsible. I&#x27;m guessing you&#x27;re one of the black sheeps in the crowd. You&#x27;re on a path spiraling downward if you still continue to gamble.&#xD;&#xA;Listen I gave up gambling many years ago when I joined the USMC. Seriously you won&#x27;t even have time to think about it. &#xD;&#xA;It was only after I reenlisted and joined the Reserve was I able to get back to gambling and even so, I do it because I can afford to. Money will be tight for a private and I suggest you use it wisely.&#xD;&#xA;Deploying to Afghan. in two months time and for the next year, gambling will be the furthest thing from my mind. Damn I&#x27;m gonna miss the whole football season, but duty comes first.

From personal experience: They go through your stuff and confiscate any gambling equipment when you get there. Forget gambling during boot camp. They will rack you up if you get caught. Better to loan 5 for 6 the next payday, there will always be takers. I paid a little 6 for 5 and was glad to get it when I needed it. That is a wicked per cent interest, figure it out. Good luck.
