I lived off base after I got out of boot camp for the time I went to school.  There were poker games in the barracks every night, I played on duty nights.  Remember, there was not as much betting on sports in 1956 when I was in boot camp and school, at least I was not as involved in it.  I started betting football pretty good in 1958, in Little Rock.  Times have changed.  When my oldest son was in the Navy, Great Lakes did not even have a brig, you served your brig time in an empty barracks, they used to slip out at night and go drinking.

Everyone and their mom plays any kind of card game during down time, never heard of anyone betting on sports then again I didn't have the capping itch just yet.

By the sound of your question, it sounds like you're fucked right off the bat.  You'll be able to gamble much sooner than 12 weeks because you will be kicked out if you have no focus on boot camp.

I am in 100 percent but I dont want to give up gambling. I can place bets using iphone and do research at nights. I am not one of those people who need to watch the games.

I know boot camp will be difficult that is why I will wait till ait (training school) to place my first bet. I should plenty of free time at ait or so I hope.
