The books are fantastic and the show tries to do them justice. They cram and skip all sorts of story and plots to make it work for TV. All in all I think it's a great show with excellent actors & actress' and top notch production.

Fantasy isn't always everybody's cup of tea I guess.

I agree, I lose patients with this series every episode. Nothing ever happens! The end of season 2 we were at the same place as we were in the beginning. The Kalisi or whatever the darn that albino girl is named moves a couple hundred kilometers in the desert and there is a attempt to overrun the castle at the end which fails. That about sums up 10 hours of programming for season 2. Season 3 is shaping up to be much of the same.

The problem is that there are so many story lines, they can't advance on them individually very far without taking up the whole episode.

Basically the only character with substance is the midget. He consistently displays his wit and cunning.

We are supposed to care and like the other characters who do nothing but talk plainly and walk around in lavish clothes. Don't care about the Stark King, does nothing. Don't care about albino girl, does nothing and one dimensional. Kill off the the Stark girl.

And winter has been coming for like 3 years and it's some big happening that is to be anticipated simply because they say so.

It is pretty tedious but people still watch so they&#x27;re doing something right. This works for me: I normally wait til the end of the season then watch them all over a few days cause you&#x27;re right the storylines advance so little week to week it&#x27;s hard to keep track or keep interest. Just going through the 12 episodes in a couple of days it comes together better. Did this with Lost too for the guy who mentioned Lost. It was awesome. I couldn&#x27;t wait for the end of the Lost season to do it.Back to GoT the whole winter thing seems like it&#x27;s building up for a payout and it better be pretty great cause it&#x27;s taking forever. Also kinda looking forward to the dragons growing up so the blond chick can just wreck shop and kill everyone else. I hope that happens.

People keep watching because the production is still quality for TV. People also want to believe it's better and more epic than it is because they immerse themselves into it. They have to believe it's amazing when it's good. Reality sucks for most and they want to escape into fantasy world.

I agree with mightiestmojo, watch them all in a short period of time is the way to go.  I think the little midget character is the best.  I&#x27;m also impressed with the humping scenes (seasons 1 &amp; 2) ... season 3 is starting off rather slow ... we need some action soon or season 3 will be a bust.

Case in point, they spend some time the first season showing the little girl getting expert training in using the sword. I mean, they spend several episodes on it. You would think spending that much time on a storyline would mean something, right? WRONG. We are now well into season three and nothing has come of it. As a matter of fact, every time the little girl has had to use her sword she sucked at it.

The Imp, Tyrion Lannister is great.  Living by his wits.  Geoffry is evil, I want him to die.  He killed Ned and had his daughter look at his head on a spike.  Lots of sex and nudity.  I like it.  Marjorie is a beauty and so is Cersei the evil Queen mother.  I love the sets and costumes and dragons.  Valar morghulis, All men must die!  I love the theme.  The white albino you refer to is Dany Targerean,  last of the dragons, mother of dragons.  Only signed up this season so needed to catch up viewing seasons one and two over few days .  Then read first novel and things became a bit easier to understand.  Bit of fantasy mixed in with historical fiction.  This author is creative.  Will be on to novel no. Two.

I understand the criticism.  Lots of moving parts to this story.  Jumping to the Baratheon camp and his Red Sorceress, then to the North Wall with Jon Stark captured by the Wildlings, to the Lannisters at King&#x27;s Landing and with Dany and her dragons.  What will happen to Arya the youngest daughter of Stark?  Sansa? and the creep Theon Greyjoy who had two little boys killed and burned and hung up for all to see?  For me I am enjoying this a lot more than the Twilight series or Harry Potter series or Hunger Games.  I love the dire wolves and those dragons!the other episode Jamie Lannister got his hand lopped off and he deserves it the creep

Finished novel two,  and I predict a dragon dies because a dire wolf was killed in in season one.  Sam the coward kills a wighting, the living dead.  Theon Greyjoy has his balls cut off, hurray.  Sansa marries the Imp.  Marjorie and her grandmother I do not trust.  Dany has an army now with Mormont, Barristen, Wormboy and new character just introduced and her dragons!  I think an epic battle is looming.  Jon will attack the Wall.   The Lion, the Stag,  the Wolves or the Dragons, which will prevail?

I have to admit, this show is getting better and better with this season. Defiantly better than season two, which was a bore fest with not much progress in the story. I wish they spent more time on the blonde girl and her army instead of those boring dialog scenes in the dungeon or out in the fucken woods or something. Too much of that garbage and not enough of the blond girl and her dragons taking mother guy to school.
