CBS Sports basketball analyst Greg Anthony has been suspended indefinitely by the network, a CBS spokesperson said on Saturday, a day after he was arrested in Washington, D.C., on a charge of soliciting prostitution.

Anthony, 47, was arrested Friday evening after making an agreement for sexual favors, according to Washington's Metropolitan Police Department.

Anthony issued an apology on Saturday to his wife, family and colleagues, saying he made a mistake.

"With this lapse of judgment, I embarrassed many, including myself," he said. "I will work to regain the trust that I have lost, and the first step is saying that I am sorry."

Aroldis Chapman didn't get suspended when a hooker in Pittsburgh pretended to get tied up in his room during a "robbery" staged by her pimp, in which they boosted ohhh....everything, all while Aroldis was chilling in the 'pen at PNC Park.

Pure stupidity his getting busted.

Surely Charles Barkley could have tipped him into a couple of working girls on the down low? Or any NBA player could have hooked him up with a dirrty whenever he felt the urge?

Excellent use of police resources. The community is much safer now that Greg Anthony isn't getting laid by hookers anymore.

Aren't there CBS Sports groupies so a dude doesn't have to go beg?

Greg should have realized that the police like to take down a big fish on these stings so Joe 6-pack, like the analysts at FoxSports or Yahoo, don't ply the street trade. Trophy Bust.

Yep total waste of resources. Why not get the underage sex traffickers.. Oh wait that means the cops would actually have to do some difficult labor.
