Gotta agree with Mother&#x27;s. We loved that place! Other than that, the city is a shithole. Do you have tix already? I&#x27;m assuming you&#x27;re going to the game? Do NOT buy tix from a scalper off the street.

Red Fish -- on Bourbon. The barbecued oysters are amazing. Would also recommend the red fish w/ crawfish for dinner.

Oceana -- little dive right off Bourbon. The parmesan oysters are to die for. Served with great bread you can use to soak up all of the juice. My favorite place to eat downtown.

Acme Oyster House is way over-rated IMO.Atmosphere is great, food there is average.

I&#x27;m from New Orleans. I was in the French Quarter Sat before the Saints Lions game. That was the first time I was in the French Quarter in a year. I don&#x27;t go there much but when I was in my teenage years and early twenties me and my friends would frequent it often.There are plenty of good eating spots in Metairie/Kenner/Westbank but a tourists would have to get a cab and know where they are going. It would be worth it though because the prices are half the price as they would be in the city.
