I'll bet a $100 to anyone's doughnut those 2 kids wind up at The 'U', or Florida State where they maybe get acquitted of a couple of rapes or shoplift some crab legs, go on to lucrative multi-multi million dollar contracts in the NFL, but lose it all when they're videoed beating their wife in an elevator, or a slow speed chase with a teammate in a white Ford Bronco......

I'm completely amazed that that could happen...and watched the clip endlessly...hoping to see what happened next. I'm still looking for the full footage.
Those players are from John Jay HS in San Antonio, my hometown. Though I attended high school back in the 90's, I know Jay was always problematic. And it's sad to think, because they are part of a nicer district in a nicer part of town. Nothing excuses what happened though.
The problem with calling these guys punks or criminals is that it's hardly an insult to them. Too many factors to start. But honestly, would any kind of MAN even act in that manner, during a live event, in front of friends/family/media?

Just read some tweets and posts from some TRUSTWORTHY teens that attended the game and/or know the players.
They are citing racial discrimination by the refs. No telling if it was ONE, or the whole crew. But the messages are along the lines of:
"yeah, if that ref...or another one of them said that stuff, the hit was justified"
I know they're highschoolers, and the mentality/maturity are still developing...but honestly, you're not even sure it was THAT particular guy? And a player in full pads/helmet, hitting a man in the back...that's perfectly fine?!?
I will lean towards the FACTS (up to this point), that Jay had already had many warnings throughout the game...that unsportsmanlike penalties had been issued...that A player (rumored two) had already been ejected from the game (Jay side)...and that a Jay player had thrown punches.

White figures of authority are now fair game for the bad black community. The media has made them believe there will be no consequences for their actions. In fact, they'll be hailed as heroic victims of racism.

I just saw that video that's messed up. I read they may be prosecuted. I'm sure there will be something out there saying the ref used the N word or something so there will likely be a lot of thought about a prosecution. Maybe Dude's post is alluding to that. I don't care if the ref did say something bad blindsiding a guy isn't acceptable.

It must be the Christian in you that allows you to be so in tune with the thoughts of the black community.

Stay on the bench for the last minute (which was left in the game)...
Fake an injury, and cause a scene on the field...
Go to the bench and rile up your teammates...
Yell to the family in the stands (if your coach does NOTHING)...
Tell everyone IMMEDIATELY after the final whistle sounds (media, opposing coaches, get the Reffing crew's info)...
All things I would've done before I ever considered just pulling that kind of attack--and then trying to "justify" it after the fact. Initially, I heard that the Ref was not interested in pressing charges...dunno if it's because of his "guilty conscience" (if he was even the guy, and if he even said it)....OR....because he knew they were young and (technically) had a future.
Either way, I know plenty of people were watching the clip to (A) figure out the player's numbers (B) find the roster and their name (C) put THAT info out on the web. No sense in "not releasing names because they are students, etc" after the attacks were that blatant.

Oh of course. Young black youths simply aren't capable of wanton unprovoked violence are they?
The excuses and rationalizations by this type never end. I sincerely hope all of them are one day forced to live in the anarchy and chaos they are helping to create

Also reported that some down-the-line behind.istant coach told the guys to exact revenge for the refs "cheating us".
I don't get it--Being called a name is being Cheated? Or is it possibly because two other guys already got booted from your squad, and you're losing in genuine Loser fashion?!?
Not to mention, this now means that the players were coerced and put back into the game to make the attack...premeditated. I'm no lawyer, but in most cases, doesn't this make the coach equally responsible for the attack? I know it's not the death penalty, or even a year in jail...but that idiot has every right to be hated for putting kids up to something he couldn't handle as a 'Man'.

I hope everyone realizes that whether racial language was used or not, these kids and a large segment of the population including all races believe it is justification for sucker punching cheap shoting and ganging up on people just at the thought that a name might have been called. Absolutely re tarded. Also very dangerous, as it's hard to disprove and easy to lie about it to rationalize acting like an animal. Meanwhile fools like certain posters in this thread give them a pass, or more like a gold star for their actions.

What race is the asst. coach?

Still am utterly shocked by this. I just relate back to my HS football days, and think about our coach forcing us to run miles upon miles on Saturday morning if we had any personal fouls. If we did this blatant attack to a ref!?!?! Couldn't imagine the perpetrator would be alive!
This referee is a seasoned vet with 20+ years on the job. IF he really used racial slurs, this NO WAY would be his first time doing it, and I couldn't see a vocal bigot holding on to a scholastic officiating position. These kids thought if they threw race into it, maybe they thought they'd hang on to their role with the team.
And in that response YEAH RIGHT! I hate playing judge and juy, but my God, these kids really don't deserve to play the game again.

this is Texas we're talking about...high school football is WAYYY up there. So I can't imagine a guy as tenured as this, with an absolute free-square of a job doing something so stupid to lose the gig.
I think it's clearly a case of misconduct and horrible, disgusting people on that staff that put a huge spot on these kids' names. What's next, the kid's saying "I didn't want to do it...but coach told me to." "He's a bully...."
This thing is already headed to the STATE
