Melo. I hear you. But I think their point is that it defies the logic test. That is why even Dawkins and these guys have admitted they have issues with it. If you read some of Hume's works even he will say that they don't have an answer for this part of the question. There are many, many scholars that have tried to address this and it always returns to the same issue.
Sort of like the deal Rostos brought up with the start of universe etc. Even Einstein said this had to be admitted as a creation point. It seems he said something along the lines of the problem for the atheist is that more comprehensible the universe becomes the more incomprehensiblle it becomes that there couldn't have been a creator.
But you are correct---this is an issue that has been a dividing issue for ages.
yea and thats cool, not me nor anyone else in here pretends we got the answer to how the frickin universe began to exist...i mean shiit,it hurts the brain of a mere mortal with average intellect such as myself and most others to even start to contemplate issues such as quantum physics and things of a gargantuan, grandiose scale and nature like aspects of time/universe formation....but guess wat??we are fine with that,we can sleep at nite knowing that we DONT KNOW(tho of course inquisitive minds always thirst to know more and more about their surroundings),and do not have to make up stories to put our mind at ease...we been back and forth on this, theres no point rostos or anyone asking us how everything started COS WE DONT KNOW......and for sumone calling us out for being to prideful to admit things earlier on in this thread i believe it smacks of extreme ego/arrogance/pride to sit there and not be satisfied not knowing sumthing, making up your own narrative to explain it and to put your own mind at ease knowing that a void/gap in your knowledge has been filled, and then using this backwards form of reasoning as "proof" of the validity of your own story....thats wat rostos is tryna pull here......."well,you cant explain this.you dont have the answers so therefore it musta been my imaginary friend in the sky that did it".......WTF???
to the religious folk using that line of upside down, deductive logic as evidence of a creator-just have sum humility, chill the fu.k out and accept that we dont know sum things....many things actually.
you never "caught us out" or "pinned us in a corner" just cos we cant explain the biggest feckin un-known/mystery in the history of mankind.......we dont know how it all started AND NOR DO YOU(youre just too self-important and arrogant to admit it now that youve pinned your flag to that crazy belief system)

Sure. Both sides look at the other as ignorant or at least amazed that they can't see it their way. Sure your point of nobody knows is okay. The other side is just pointing to the preciseness and beginning to say that it had to be planned and started. That's the situation Einstein and Pascal etc present. Hume and the others also struggle with these issues and admit that they do present problems for their world view.
