How Much Help Would You Give an EX GF

As many of you know, I dated a gal I worked with years ago.. we tried to make a go of it last Aug-Nov...

I dated another Gal for awhile but she had ALOT going on and so do I -with handling alot of things related to my mother's diagnosis.

My EX started dating/moved In with a guy who tried to kill her .. no lie .. she has an Arrest Warrant out for him, Protective Order against him Etc..

She came over the other night shaking 'like a leaf'.. I took her to dinner/movie ..

My question, How involved would you guys get in trying to help an EX ?..Our relationships were like rollercoasters but nothing EVER physical etc.. no THREATS etc..

you are not the bad guy if chose to make a wise choice for yourself.

If she needs to go to a domestic violence shelter, help her get into one, that can be your contribution and the most logical/effective course of action... There are paid professionals there that can support/help her... You will be doing the job of a domestic violence shelter facility all by yourself carting for her safety/emotional/living needs and for no pay.... other then keeping your guilt at bay that tells you that you are bad guy if you dont take her in...

We all have basic human rights... One is that we have the right to be healthier then those around us and the right to set limits and boundaries to keep it that way

If you "care" about her you will assist her in gettingr help/support... the "selfish" thing would be for you to try to do it on your own and make it all about you....

Do the "caring" thing

Umgmu, just provide her with some decent advice, guidance, and direction as far as protecting herself legally and anything else except having her move in/stay over at your spot.

In my opinion, you should be removed enough from that her psycho guy in her life now... and make sure that it all does not adversely affect your own daily life routine and also the potential threat to you of course.

Women like this will just try the same thing on you. Shell try to figure out what makes you tick and then shell start pushing your buttons trying to get you to respond in a violent way and if you do it will confirm in her mind that all men are assholes like her daddy who probaly also beat her and god knows what else.
