Obviously this is incorrect. It is just propagated as fact. By far the worst century was the previous one. Simply study it to see this.

But isn't the converse true as well? I don't think he was mocking so much as pointing out that sometimes what people believe is funny compared to what they do not believe. I do not even think he implied his beliefs were more important.

I don't agree with Don's liberal political views but I am not sure he should be bashed for being the first to present a dissenting view.
