Sure the stock market is high due to fed policy and low interest rates and lack of places for people to put there money. My personal belief that interest rates should never fall below 1.25 percent.
Anyway what stuns me is when it comes to jobs. There are a 100 million working age American that do not have a job or have quite looking for a job. By 2022 its expected that 30% of people in the United States will not be working.
50% of all people who do work make less than 28,000 dollars. The equivalent of working a 10 dollar an hour job full time. 39% of americans in the work force make less that 20,000 dollars a year.
72% of American workers make less than 50,000 dollars a year. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-10-24/50-american-workers-make-less-28031-year
When adjusted for inflation 40% of the American workers are bringing home less money than they would of in 1968 that's 47 years ago.
People in the age group 25-31 still living at home with there parents increased 32%. The average age of an American buying there first house is now at 35. Prices at the grocery store continue to rise as do education costs.
The average income for someone on welfare is now at 15.00 an hour. While minimum wage in many parts of the country is 7.25 for someone trying to work for a living. Granted Washington state and La now have $15.00 minimum wages which seems much fairer.
I will say I am an independent and frequently vote for both parties but I don't see how democrats can say Obamas economic policies are working.
