Are you going to offer the noncombatants/civilians killed in the Pearl Harbor attack which has been estimated to be about 100 in total by every reliable source, as a counter to somehow even remotely justify to the number of civilians killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, who were the casualties of the only use of nuclear weapons in the history on warfare, which were estimated to be about 220,000-230,000?

220,000-230,000.

That's about 100 World Trade Center attacks. 100. In two fell swoops.

And this doesn't even remotely address the aftermath in which miles of infrastructure were destroyed or even were uninhabitable.

This doesn't even comment on the collateral damage of the bombs, that is, the widespread birth defects in the surrounding areas for decades thereafter.

Go google those birth defects if you are courageous enough to stomach it.

Stop attempting to justify single worst attack on a nation in the history of the world in any way because it was America that did the attacking. These were NUCLEAR WEAPONS. This is the worst and vile concoction of nativism and nationalism that Trump has spewed and you are more than willingly imbibing down to it down to its very last drop.

Learn to think for yourself.

Learn history.

Learn about attacks and the response to those attacks and debate them critically instead of resorting to a childish, "They attacked us so we attacked them" mindset.

Learn about the prequel to the bombs, that is, the firebombings of Tokyo where another 200,000 were killed. And those are almost solely civilians. 200,000. I throw out these numbers casually but the devastation is like NOTHING the world has ever seen.

What number do we need to reach before you agree the response was unjustified?
