With sanctions lifted for the first time in 15 years Iran will be able to sell it's oil directly to the USA and gasoline prices are expected to dive back to the $2 / Gal price range we saw across the USA last winter.
Keep that in mind when you hear the Media pundits bloviating on this and bloviating on that when it comes to the Nuke Deal. The Little guy is finally going to benefit from SOMETHING.
PAY THE LITTLE MAN !!!

The little guys aka your domestic oil and gas employees take a brutal hit the lower and lower these gas prices will fall.
This is why I have my GulfLand license to work overseas, because inevitable deals like this just continue to eliminate related-field jobs in America, I guess essentially like the way the steel industry went.
It will come down to the point where the majority of drilling in America will be obsolete.
Two way street at the end of the day. If one wants to stay in the oil and field industry (non-corporate) GO OFFSHORE!

I doubt the price will come down much at all. the USA is SWIMMING in crude right now because of new supply in the Dakotas BUT there is always some oil company BS line of "Oh are refineries are shut down for remix" or "transportation problems". these crooks ALWAYS have some excuse going back to the FIRST "gas shortage" back in the 1970's which was a COMPLETE FRAUD. the "Seven Sisters" CREATED OPEC so their domestic crude reserves would become more valueable
it's ALL a SCAM!!!

I shall return in six months to claim my victory in one Pound of Flesh.
That is not true. You will spin, and deflect and never admid being wrong at all.
As for the subject matter, your POTUS has done a very bad deed here that will further unstabilize the region. If you think that will drive crude prices down you are simply a fool.
tick tock... you and I have been here for years. I look forward to your unabated apology within a few months.

Ya you know, I don't see how anybody could be that naïve to possibly think gas prices would drop lower than two dollars due to this deal.
While price fixing might be illegal, there is nothing saying that any kind of conflict, or "conflict" in the middle east is wrong. Insert the C word at anytime and gas prices will raise and/or stabilize.
If you dig deep enough you'll see that the majority of oil consumed by the US is brought in overseas whether by exporting or offshore drilling. Domestic drilling on the continent itself--outside of exporting--is really just the oil companies throwing a bone to your little man by keeping job opportunities open, keeping the "American" label on a company and gaining the trust and support of the country.
If they shut down every rig in the US right now, the only affect you would notice to this country would be in the dept. of exports and unemployment rate; so this Iran deal does nothing but tighten the Ziploc bag even more on domestic drilling, suffocating it to the point where the soon to be asked question of 'why exactly these oil companies continue to drill landside' comes front and center.
Your gas prices aren't dropping anywhere at anytime due to this deal. In fact the only thing that fluctuates in this case is the unemployment rate, and that will go up.

Since a few weeks ago crude prices have been going lower and lower and lower..
We are almost down to 50 again on NT crude, that will work its way through the intentionally slow refiners and will reflect at the pump unless some military issue changes the direction of this move.
Didnt Calif raise the tax on gas recently? They are actually doing what should be done on the federal level too, with consumption declining, gas efficiency increasing, the roads need to be maintained and we arent properly funding repairs and expansion..

How many of you follow crude futures?

BO essentially created a nuclear arms race after giving the green light to Iran to continue to operate with no real oversight.
An arms race will destabilize the region
What is your opinion on your beloved Saint Ronnie and the Iran-Contra affair? (Reagan, of course, denied any knowledge and dumped it on Weinberger, Poindexter,Casey, McFarlane and Ollie North).
If you recall, Israel was the middleman for the arms shipments to Iran.
But hey, distorting, ignoring and flat our misrepresenting U.S. history in the Middle East is par for the course in these forums...the situation is far more complex than you will ever be able to comprehend.
Have you even traveled to that part of the world? Somehow, I doubt it. It's far more easy to sip beer, pontificate from the coziness of Kentucky and spout historical nonsense about Obama. Carry on..

Prices in LA spiked almost a dollar in the last week. They cite 1 refinery is offline, a "shortage of oil" and other components for our more expensive "summer blend" months and of course the tax increase didn't help.
Yesterday I saw prices at $4.35+ for 87 octane

California is a tough place to live if you work for a living. It is not going to get any better.
It will get a whole bunch worse in the coming years because the state and most cities are bankrupt.

Same in our metro area..prices went up 30 cents a gallon in the last 10 days or so even in the face of declining crude prices.
I told this story before but when I lived in PA and worked for a brokerage firm there I had a client who worked in a refinery for Sunoco..who is a large refiner of course and he told me so many stories about games refiners play to take advantage of pricing..the shut down for repairs gimmick or holding supply by cutting the third shift, or ramping production if prices go up and their supply cost is lower blah blah blah..
Yeah corps are cheaters for sure, try and find any angle to increase profits.
