I bought my last car for 0% financing.....72 month loan.  I have 46K on it and have a year and a half to pay.  I&#x27;ve had that money working for me in the market for almost 5 years.  Has cost me NOTHING.  I also got lasik last year.  $3,700.....financed at 0% as well.  Have $500 left to pay.  Have had that money working in the market for almost a year.  Bought 2 TV&#x27;s at Best Buy in the last 3 years. Financed those for 0% and paid them off before the interest kicked in. Bought a sectional for over $4K.....no interest for 18 months. LMAO.  I can&#x27;t believe how many companies will let you finance on their dime.  It&#x27;s fantastic.  Borrowed over $40K in the last 5 years and haven&#x27;t paid 1 cent of interest.  And I pretty much have it all paid off (and will for sure before any interest kicks in).  Free money is a good thing.  It&#x27;s the morons with no discipline that they prey on.

I pay the entire bill each month.Priceline Visa gives me 2% back on everything I buy.So it&#x27;s free money for using their credit card to buy stuff I need to buy anyway.God bless 2% cashback.

I&#x27;ve made so much money on the cashback programs.. Especially the 5% cashback that Chase offers everyyear on Gas.&#xD;&#xA;I really can&#x27;t believe they don&#x27;t cancel my cards.. I mean they lose money on people like me which doesn&#x27;t make much sense.. Only once has a card cancelled on me.. The Chase WaWa card.. they offered 10% back on gas for the first 3 months then something like 3% after that.. they cancelled the whole card not just me I&#x27;m guessing because they took it up the ass royally&#xD;&#xA;Another card I had was the American Express.. not sure which one but its a clear plastic card.. they offered me 30,000 pts if I spent $500 on it in 3 months.. no problem the 30,000 pts are worth $400 for travel.. free money..  Southwest offers 2 free roundtrip tickets.. So much free stuff if you have good credit

Got a nice 1999 contour 288k miles on it 25% interest. $355 a month.  Still owe 9k.  got a visa predominal card 18% interest. Owe $3446.00, I make $16 payments a month. I&#39;m taking advantage of the system!

The retailer pay 2.5% on credit card transactions, not sure that&#x27;s the exact # though, anyways that get&#x27;s tacked on to the sticker price of shit you buy, at the end of the day the consumer pays for everything one way or another.

You need good credit for large purchases. Home buying, car buying, etc.It&#x27;s getting increasingly more meaningful in todays world.. -Want to rent an apartment/house..need credit-Want to purchase a nice car or lease...need credit-Want to get a decent job...they check your credit-Want to buy/refurb a house...need creditBuying day-to-day stuff in cash is great...but you better build up your credit in some fashion or if something unexpected comes up you could be SOL.

I&#39;m not going to ever use credit again unless it&#39;s to get cash back or something.  I agree with your first post.  It&#39;s a tool to rob the poor and nothing more.  Credit can ruin your life if you&#39;re not careful.

Most people treat credit as an evil necessity of life.  Not me.  I am done with credit.  To me it really is a stupid senseless concept.  If I can&#39;t afford it, I ain&#39;t buyin&#39; it.  Fuck it.

not sure about other countries but to be in debt in america is highly favorable.  America wants you to be in debt but no matter how much you owe you will never go to prison.  Bankruptcy will not discharge student loans and irs back taxes owed, so that tells you not to mess with these institutions.  Passing a bad check is also a no-no of course.  HutchEmAll is one of very few people who have discipline and america still does not care.  The mentality is that one day he will not be as disciplined even though anyone can prove to be till they are gone.  American culture also had the mentality that some hardship will occur sometime in the future that will throw anyone who&#x27;s had a history of good credit, off track.

hutch is the one they do not like.ben stein has 50 credit cards and pays em all off every month, whatever card he uses.im sure he has 850 credit w. w/e credit source be it transunion or w/e...honestly if u got the 60 months @ 0% u better use it. its $ working for you.and if you pay cash you can get 2 or 5% off at most stores. just haggle with em. the swipe fees on AMEX hurt small businesses so they sometimes want or will let you get a small discount when paying in cash.its a two way street. i think we&#x27;ve seen these topics before. donald trump became a cash cow king using credit, so do leverage buy out kings. you can come up big if you know how to use credit wisely.its like buying a 1980s painting for 10,000, that 10000 dollar painting could be worth 10 million in 2008 or 2012. just be smart and wise.

Credit is madeup bullshit.  Just another "product" to sell you, another revenue stream.  Once you realize that nothing is free, you have attained a level of intelligence not seen by many.There is no such thing as "free", we all pay for everything one way or another.The smart ones use credit wisely.  You can get a lot of stuff/cash back if you are smart about spending.  I thought about using my credit card to pay for everything and getting points/cash back.  Seems like a hassle to me though.  Rather pay for stuff and be done with it.

True, but I had 2 choices.  Pay cash up front or spread out my payments with no interest over a period of time.  I prefer to keep my money as long as possible if it&#x27;s not costing me anything.  To each their own.  I don&#x27;t buy anything I can&#x27;t afford.  I already have the money when I buy something....it&#x27;s just a matter of how quickly I pay for it and whether I pay any interest.

Credit is a product that if I use properly I can only gain on. 2% cashback, reward programs, financing stadiums, 0% financing, etc. The problem with credit is it punishes people who live outside a budget and keep them running on wheel like a hamster.

Maintaining a solid credit rating is a subject that should be taught to High School Students (ie how your score is determined), it makes life much easier when you actually might need to apply for a loan, get an apartment, etc.

they teach you in eighth grade that if you are the first person to access the new money, you actually benefit from inflation..... you get to spend the new money at the old prices.... before said credit works its way into the system and distorts everyones purchasing power

Credit is the same as Integrity, it&#x27;s part of your stake in life. Your word is your Bond and Credit is your Word. If you expect to get ahead in this old world you&#x27;d better have great Credit.

^    when u walk into a dealershipthey run ur credit, they dont verify your workplace/paystubs unless u look like a hobo w. less than 580 score.a man w. a 820 score can walk out w. a 2.9% lease on a 40k car no problem
