Im also a hunter and a proud one.. Come to my gameroom.. I have walls full of animals.. The difference with me is I actually eat what I kill.. One exception, I did kill a bear and I have that mounted..

I would love to go to Africa and have a field day.. Alot of safari over there to play around in.............

I watched a "DATELINE" special and saw how they kill cows in some places..  A knife straight to the spinal cord... Almost made me throw up... But people gripe about hunters who kill for sport.. The same people who are eating hamburgers right now...

I never even new hunting was a sport.I guess if the animal being shot at was able to shoot you back then it could be considered as a sport...........oh wait thats called war.

Exactly. It's ridiculous to call something a sport when your opponent doesn't even realize it's participating. Hell, I could be heavyweight champ if all I had to do was tap someone on the shoulder and punch him in the face when he started to turn around.

I have no problem with hunting or fishing but don't try to pass it off as something it's not.

There nothing wrong with hunting. I've never hunted but have friends that do. By the same token, I don't bat an eye when a bear or some other animal mauls a camper or hiker, shit, he don't know who's armed and who isn't......Animals should be allowed to hunt, too. Fair is fair....

Hunters today use way to many high tech gadgets to hunt the animals dont have much of a chance.
 
Hunting for food is one thing, but the people who just go hunting for a trophy to hang on their walls are complete jerkoffs.
 
Or how about the idiots that setup the feedstands where the animal basically walks right up to you to get killed.  sick people.
 
Or how about the places that let people hunt on small fenced in areas where the animals have no chance of getting away.  Boy that sounds like a real tough sport.  Might as well go down to your local zoo and just take a few shots.
 
I agree with others, hunting should never be classified as a sport when the other side doesnt even know its part of the game

1) When did I ever say you can't wear flip flops? Do you wear them when you hunt? Why not? They are so comfortable according to you.....wear whatever the hell you want.

2) I didn't realize the only way to be familiar with firearms is if you hunt. I own guns and don't hunt. Is that rare?

3) As I stated, I have friends that hunt. As others have stated some just perch up in a tree and/or lure animals to them or corner their prey in a fenced "hunting" area. To me, hunting should involve tracking in an open area, pursuit, and then a kill. Regardless, that's only my opinion. I have no problem with hunting in any way, shape, or form. Tight lines!, or whatever it is hunters say.....

why kill for sport?  it's not like it's that difficult.  I always think about what douchebags these hunters on tv are.... I mean they have a guide that basically puts an animal in front of their rifle and says "here you pull the trigger."  What is so rewarding about that?  Bunch of pussies IMHO.

"Hunting" is a subjective term. IMO Hunting is someone going out and tracking, following, stalking, whatever something that they want to shoot and doing it. The clowns that put out bait piles, have guides, go to fenced in preserves, and use dogs aren't hunters, they are shooters. What cracks me up more is the people that do this think it is a "sport".

I used to hunt, mostly because I was influenced as a young guy but I grew tired of it. Just saw no point in going out into an animals habitat and killing it for essentially nothing. I put down the rifle and picked up the camera instead. I like it much better, no mess and you can shoot the animals more than once.

btw - there is a big difference between someone not liking hunting and eating a hamburger.
