Meteor landed in Georgia.

No not a planet killer but a small meteorer of what left of a rock that mostly burned up in the atmosphere.

While Jay Sullivent was home alone in Appling, Georgia, he heard a loud bang that he thought for certain was a car crash in front of his house.

Determined to help, Jay grabbed his camera and ran outside.

Unable to find anything, he takes a walk around his lawn and stumbles upon a burnt circle of grass with smoke rising from it.

Why do these land in small southern towns where there are fewer teeth than people? 

Sure there wasnt a baby from Krypton that walked out from that and picked up a car or kicked a football an incredibly long distance.

We had one land in northern maine a couple years ago

about 20 miles south west of jackman 15 due south  from canada. The problem was it was on Native american land.

Or that object would be in my hands. 

The reward of that meteor was 50k offered by a gem dealer in Oxford county. A group of amateur astronomer club made the trajectory and the point of impact.

The serious flaw here.

I know physics.

A meteror traveling through the atmosphere can be moving at up to 2500m per second. Hits at that speed the crater would look like a c4 charge just leveled it the crater would be near 80 feet deep and the house would be consumed.

This is more a lightening strike at very close to his home and the electrocution of the sand... But it is a cool story.

There have only been four meteor strikes in the State of CT...  But TWO in my town of Wethersfield.
