There was one episode on last year. I assumed that the station caught too much sh1t and yanked it. Supposedly Stephens isn't his real name and has a checkered past to say the least. I'm sure someone will chime in with more info. I don't remember all the details....
John Anthony isn't Brandon Lang's real name.
Lady Gaga isn't Stephanie's real name.
WHO CARES?

Hey let me tell you something .. I worked in a office like this as a kid.. I was throwing snowballs and hit a guys car that worked in a sports counsulting office.. he ask of we wanted a job.. All these people did was send out a radio show offering a "free pick" it was a radio show in some hick states. People would call for there free pick and the girls that answered said the voicemail is down with the pick and we will have someone call you back. Well when they were called back we would sell them a package. A week , a month, whatever.. You would be surprised how many people signed up for a package. I can tell you one thing the handicapper they had in the office was pretty good .. He sat in a room came out once a day and wrote the picks on a board that we can all see from the phones.. Once he did that we started calling like crazy. I did make 3,000 one week .. I signed a guy that was a Fing whale from Dallas, he bet 10,000 the first game with them and won. Then hit for 20,000 the next. There were so happy with what had happend they gave me a check for 3,000. But really all these guys did was smoke weed all day and bet on the games.. It was an experience thats for sure .. So after watching that show I cant believe all that stuff still goes on .. I worked there in 1998 .. if I can remember the name was Vic Michael sports machine out of hicksville, NY

And just to clarify , nobody used their real name.. They asked you what name you wanted to use and that was that .. The first thing they asked at the interview, "Do you have a problem asking people for their money." I said NOPE!!!! lol We were able to abuse the people ove the phone also .. Telling them they are the worst gambler in the world , your wife doesnt even like you , when was the last time you were able to buy your wife flowers etc.....The worst part is when you get couples that bet together like the guy that put down a grand and lost , they call you the next day after the bet lost , and now you had to talk to them .. I teamed up with the guy next to me , and he would talk to them and sell them all over , and I would do the same for his losing clients .. It was fun I can say that much..

Steve Stevens gots the raps yo! They keep them drinking and keep them dreaming.. Do they ever get on a run .. Seems to me they lose more then they win ..So far the show as a total from what I have seen is like 2-6 .. Not great at all.. Everytime they show someone that put a large amount of money on a game they lose ... WTF>

I think it's hilarious how in the first episode all the guy does is straight up chase. If I had stacks beyond stacks of money to blow and kept doubling up on ganes eventually I'd win a game and be on top.
The Stevens guy seems like such a clown. The way he talks and carries himself... Uggh. Guess you need to be a cocky self centered individual to do what he does. Feel like I'm watching real world on mtv for the most part. Only enjoy watching it cause it is sports betting which I love. Cool to see others out there who actually do this. And watching them lose?? Not gonna lie that is entertaining...schadenfreude

I'm still just shocked that "Steve Stevens" or VIP sports didn't at least make CNBC focus on the wins more than the losses so that this show could drive business. It's obviously scripted, and these are obviously actors. If you are going the fake route, why not make it so that they win 60% of the bets?
From what I've seen, I don't know why anyone would call VIP sports after this show

The best part that was when he was chasing with Miami on Thursday night and lost, he chased with Seattle over Arizona on the same night. They both played Thursday, October 17th at the same time.

If people buy into a service then they deserve to lose their money. Plus this idiot wants 50% of winnings.....50%!!!! In 2 weeks the only one with money will be the scumbag running the show!
When the bettor finally figures it out.....he used his money to make bets for the other guy and the other guy had absolutely zero risk! (Sorry don't remember their names)

No more fake than the Bachelor, the Kardashian show or pretty much any other reality show out there. I watch TV for entertainment, this show entertains me.
