My kitchen sink is really clogged

A plumber once suggested that after you get it fixed...place a capful of bleach down the drain, the bleach will keep the drainpipe slick and nothing will stick to it 

7 years too late 

just could be a little bit of plastic in there blocking everything

one of my tenants called me out about a blocked toilet recently, turns out he flushed a plastic bag down the toilet which I found once I opened the sewer drain  

The only thing that has ever worked for me when everything else failed is Thrift Drain Cleaner. You can find it at most supply stores. it was recommended to me by a plumber who put my sink in a few years ago. He said it was by far the best chemical that he's ever seen for clogs. It's kind of expensive, but it only takes a very small amount. So a small jar goes a long ways. It's activated by boiling water and only takes about a minute to do it's job.
