She was only 45, we were partners in everything, we owned a business together and spent every minute with each other. She was diagnosed on Feb 1st and died in May.
I was holding her hand when she passed. Watching her go through cancer hell and watching her die has changed me forever, I will never be the same.
I'm telling you this because you need to spend every moment you can with your loved ones because they could be gone tomorrow. Live every day like it is your last because it might be.
This touched me.
I just cant imagine.

Sharky: I took my disabled son and Wifey out to dinner tonight. Monday. We never go out on Monday Night. She asked and I just said I just wanted to enjoy a quiet dinner with my family tonight. My heart is lighter and I didn't check on any in-game ball scores either. One of the best nights I have shared with my family in a long, long, time. Thank you for setting my head back on straight and eyes on target. Thank you.

Very very sorry for your loss. I know your pain. I have lost my mom 58 to lung cancer, my grandfather to bladder cancer, and my best friend my dog of 15 years to snout cancer. I hate the word and i dont even like saying it. I saw my mom shrink down to nothing and my beloved pooch to skin and bones. After all these years you would think there would be a cure. I feel your pain my friend. So sorry for your loss...

Thanks guy's, I know we all suffer tragedy at some point of our life and it sucks, but it is what it is. I am always sad, especially at work when she is not there with me. I am not depressed, I am just moving on and taking care of business.
I've lost friends and family before but losing her was like half of me died. She had stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to her brain and lymph nodes. She had brain surgery to remove the tumor but it came back bigger with 3 new tumors growing. Then she had radiation and one chemo treatment.
On May 5th we were at the Oncology clinic for her second chemo treatment and they found a blood clot. She was sent to the hospital for blood thinners but they were causing the tumor to bleed. the life ending symptoms were all starting to appear but I was in denial. Then the morning of May 20th I got the call from the doctor saying there is nothing else they can do, she had a seizure and the tumor was growing larger and pushing her brain.
That night she was sent to hospice and passed away on May 22nd. I sat next to her and held her hand for 2 days until she passed.
It's just f'##%ed up how your life can change overnight. One day we are enjoying life then a couple days later we're in the hospital being told she has less than a year to live.
