u guys might might give me hell but oh well...my all time favorite play is Penny Hardaway...i grew up idolizing him and the day i met him and got a auto and pic of him was the greatest day....BTW im in my mid 20's and i met him while still with the magic..

Reggie Jackson

I know, I know. Home run hitter. Struck out a lot. But before he became Mr. October, he was a vital cog as my Oakland A's won 3 straight World Series 1972-73-74. Was unanimous MVP for 1973 season.

Spring traing rolls around, and Reggie was holding out (a lot of guys usually got pissed at the owner, Charlie Finley). I don't know the exact figures, but I seem to recall the A's offering 125k and Reggie wanted 132.5.......................seems like peanuts today

They finally met in the middle and Reggie signs. During the season, me and my late brother drive 200 miles to Oakland from Northern Cal for Reggie Jackson Day. I remember the late HOF Dodger catcher Roy Campenella was there. He was in a wheelchair, and donated a check to some charity for 25 thousand dollars! The place went nuts!

Reggie comes up to the mike to accept the award, and goes "I'd like to thank a truly great Hall of Famer for his generous donation. I THINK I'LL REACH INTO MY POCKET AND MATCH IT................"

Reggie Fan for Life after that................

I was a fan of Eddie Griffin who played at Seton Hall drafted 7 overall by the nets and traded on draft day to the rockets for Richard Jefferson and Jason Collins. He then went off track came back only to go off track again and tragically crash his SUV into a train while he was masturbating and died. He had so much talent so sad to see it all end like that.

I just can't decide between Barry Sanders and Bo Jackson...I live in Michigan, and being a Lions fan is horendous. But every sunday, we were blessed to be able to watch a magician at work....the guy was so special it's silly...And to me, Bo was a god...He played football AND baseball (I was about 10 then)...I remember meeting him and just being in awh...The first "big" book I ever read was Bo Knows BO for cryin out loud

i forgot jerry rice.  how could i forget jerry rice, the best receiver of all times?

crash, penny was money back in those days.  shaq was a fat, uncoordinated prick when he came into the league.  shaq thought he was the best player in the league back then.  he wasn't even the best player on his team. 
that reminds me of another player i loved to watch.  a one of a kind player who hasn't been mentioned.  you guys can probably guess him.

who made shaq his little bitch early in shaq's career when shaq was much more talk than game?
