What does that have to do with the money spent in Iraq anyways?
Slovak, how many times have terrorists successfully attacked the United States since Obama became President? You got your sentence screwed up ... George W would have never done this because as we all know he is a retard.
I never once said Clinton cut GOVERNMENT spending. He cut MILITARY spending, and moved that money elsewhere. Why do you think we have a shortage of flack jackets that bush caught all the shit for, and other essential wartime items when the war started up? These shortages lead to the borrowing that you were talking about. Think about it. Our government for almost a decade neglected spending on the military Probably a big reason that we were attacked when we were. They saw us as weak at the moment. At least as weak as we were gonna be for a while with a republican just coming into office. Anyways, there are reasons people in the military are mostly republican.
A. They like having a job
B. They like having bullet proof helmets, flack jackets, night vision, and the best gizmos available when they are fighting for our freedom, and our countries interests.
Also, I am not a republican. I believe that our governments #1 priority is to protect its people. Our president is called commander and chief for a reason. Cutting military spending is pretty much going against his job title.
I also believe that the government should stay out of peoples every day lives. We are "The land of the Free", but at this point there are so many laws to obey, and taxes to pay that are freedoms are quickly dwindling.
For example. You can drive a car in america if you wish. It's the land of the free, right? To drive a car in my area, you have to purchase 4 different stickers to place on your car per year. This does not include the parking sticker I have to get from my city, to park in front of my own house. On top of that you must pay the personal property tax on your car every year, and you can't register your car unless you have insurance. You could be a millionare, and be able to cover any accident you could possibly cause, but you are still forced to get insurance. There is a loop hole of course. You can pay the state $500 for the right to drive without insurance. Who are all of these laws designed to protect? It's definitely not us the government was thinking of when the made all of these laws.
Now the government has to have cops, attorneys, judges, and numerous other government officials to enforce these laws. God forbid someone be driving in the county with a red sticker instead of a green one. They will literally have a trial, with a judge and everything, for a ticket you received from a cop for not having a proper sticker. How do we let them get away with this bullshit? The government probably pays out $500 worth of salaries in order to give us a $75 dollar fine. And you wonder why our government is in debt. This is small scale example of the BS that goes on within our government. As you go up in power chain, instead of wasting hundreds, they are wasting millions, billions, and trillions of dollars.
