I think the people who wished it had been the end of the world just wanted to give up on life. They were looking for an easy answer to their problems. But the ministry that spread this snake oil is a whole lot richer.

Well, I think this dude was just wrong about the date(maybe nut job). The asteroid or comet strike will happen in the future at some point on would think..Its happened many many times in the past on Earth, so why not sometime soon???
