 I can remember the verdict being read as well except I think I was in 5th grade.

Again, what does my age at the time of the trial do with anything? You have no argument. You're emotional about a crime that happened over 20 years ago that you have no personal connection to simply because the accused perpetrator was black and the victim was white. You're turning the country into your own personal "Birth of a Nation". (The original. I may be young in your eyes but you're ignorant in my eye's so i'm not sure if you know the difference. This isn't a victory for us. This isn't Brown vs. THE Fxcking Board of Education. We're not celebrating because we didn't win anything. Meanwhile, white people in 2017, with the exception of a few outliers, are still harboring a racial grudge and turning one dips!t getting out of prison into some kind of salvo in an imaginary racial war.

Answer:   Some psychotic azzhole movie celebrity....TV commercial celebrity....gifted athelete killed two people in a frenzy of rage and passion and somehow beat the rap when he was lucky enough to get mostly women on his jury that swooned over him because of his celebrity status and COULD not vote to convict.

OK ?

However, I am getting over my upsetness now and will soon begin the long healing process with expert guidance from my spiritual advisor.

By the way... I would feel the same way if a famous white guy with the same credentials did the same nasty deed and also got off because of his race or celebrity status.

The real injustice is that he was treated like a king in jail. Maybe you can't punish a man for one crime in the sentencing for a seperate unrelated crime but they could have made his live a living hell. It seems his celebrity saved him from that as well. Make no mistake about it, this was a horrible crime and I believe thagt OJ did it. I also believe it's a travesty that he got off. This whole string of post was simply because Search got all agro with me over a burning bag emiticon. And I simply pointed out to him that as much as he points to the black community making this about race in 1994, here in 2017 many in the white community, himself included, are still harboring a racial grudge. And race is the reason he's so passionate and emotional about this case as opposed to any of the other extremely heinous murders that happen in southern cal. He's a joke and a hyoocrite and my post were aimed at him not you, Jimmy.

If he killed somebody he SHOULD be incarcerated somewhere doing chain gang type of work...Like you used to see in the old movies...

Unless you watched a bad short lived crime drama called Baretta in the mid 70's you probably wouldn't know Robert Blake. His crime occurred more than 20 years after he was in the celebrity spotlight. Simpson was still active guest starring in popular movies and was the national spokesman for Hertz rentals. It's a big difference although the crimes and subsequent acquittals were quite similar.
 I believe both Blake and Simpson hired someone to do the deed, and without knowing who that person is, it's almost impossible to obtain a judgement against the defendant.

I know this wasn't directed to me but personally, if any of the victims were a member of my family we wouldn't be having this conversation. I would've blown OJ's head off.
