They have setup a FUND for the little boy who lost his father at the Ranger game.. we all love to gamble so let's take a little of that money and donate a little to this poor little boy who lost his father

I know I will be making a donation.. just thought it would be a great thing to do... just heard it on the radio so it will be working shortly

They will have a paypal and credit card option real soon..

Also I want to be clear on something.. I'm not trying to campaign anything, I just thought it would be an awesome thing to do for this poor boy and his family...

Also they just said on the radio that the funds will be made available to them immediately to help out with anything.. the firefighter was from Brownwood TX.. this fund is in his hometown where the family lives...

The saddest part for me is you know the guy was attempting to make the catch only to see the smile on his little boy's face when he gave the ball to him. Who would have thought that trying to put a smile on your child's face would end your life? So tragic.

It was a tragedy Goose. I'm sure every father will want one tossed their way to hand it to their kid at the ballgame. I know I can't wait to take mine in a few years time when he's big enough.

Seen the highlight? It wasn't like the father was diving all over the place and was in a mad scrum when he tragically fell.

Please buy your son a $10 baseball at the souvenir stand before you take your seats.  And please point out to him only idiots risk fight or death for a baseball.

He does have a point...... why do people go fuckin nuts for a foul ball??? Im sure if he had an opportunity to do it over he would do thigs differently.........

I think a lot of it is just reflexes. Maybe people DO need to be reminded to just let it go unless it lands in your lap or at your feet.

As for the Texas Rangers.... yes they are doing somethin tonight at the ballfield..

Im going thru this site because its in their hometown and I KNOW where my money is going.. I'm not rich by any means but I'm teaching my kids a lesson.. I will be donating $25 from each of my kids but more important my kids learn a life experience.. any little bit of money helps..that's the way I look at it...

Yes it was a "stupid ball" but the father /son bond goes back for years and years... every kid dreams of getting a real game ball from their favorite team and or player.. its different for a kid..they want a game ball and a souvenir ball is not the same IMO... that child will ALWAYS remember that ball if he actually catches it or the parent does.. I know my kids do and I'm one of those "fools" who does stuff like this.... hell I would do it for any kid... the expression on their face is priceless...
