Allright lets see.. I dont use the arguments about the storms, earthquakes, etc. I just asked questions and nobody answered and everybody tried citing the Bible.                    nonsense.. belief is ignorance, to the facts, to the true.. 

The Bible is hybrid that contains a lot of plagiarised myths.. not just Horus..  there is even a video of a guy explaining it citing a Bible verse... same ol same ol.. when you try to answer my questions without citing another verse of the Bible maybe we will get to an uderstanding..

Now what you say about evil being neccesarry and giving us more pleasure than pain is complete BS. I dont know how you claim to know the truth, cite bible verses and say that shit...

Evil is not needed at all !  Sure we need pedophiles, arranged marriages, slavery, racism, executions, tortures, wars, etc.. dont you know people we need them.. they bring us such pleasure.. I dare you guys to find someone that doesnt enjoy the presence of those guys...  we dont need that ! they are not needed for good to exist and there shouldnt be no room in our world for it.. you are the one trying to talk about natural disasters and earth processes as an evil needed..                                    those are not evil is just a process, its nature... so please dont try to explain evil by talking about a process the earth has gone by before we even existed...

next time dont try to sound smart by explaining a natural process and even trying to tell us the solution for it.. which is totally out of context.. I dont know why you even brought that out..

i posted this earlier but it got lost in all of the bin laden posts, or no one wanted to comment on it.  anyway, it supports your argument that many of the hardcore christians don't know much about, well, christianity. 

Hoodwinked or any Christian who wants to take on a very simple question of morality:

I realize that you say Old Testament laws dont apply now, that they were for the people of old etc... - so you really dont have to stone your child for misbehaving, or rape your neighbor - I get that part of your argument.

My question is simple:  What kind of all loving all powerful all knowing god would institute such rules in the first place?  Is that a god you want to worship?

2. you did not direct any specific scripture verses at myself, never did i dodge any of your questions. it was your choice to single myself out in this thread. please provide evidence where you have asked a question that i have danced around. only question you can cite is the open question of proof, + you didnt tag it to any specific verse, which i will address in point (5).

christians were asked to prove it, but it was a matter of faith which is the substance of things hoped for on evidence of things not seen. the christians only had the writings of paul to prove it.

so it ended up at the that the atheists said if you cant prove your right, you cant prove the continuity theory wrong... sound familiar.

but if thoses atheist were alive today it would be different. according to science today, apostle paul shoud be credited with being a very accomplished phytologist.

labratories came up with antihuman precipitin. this has been largely used by the scientific criminal investigations departments.

if you had bone, flesh, skin or organic substance that was alive or had been alive, no matter how old that substance might be + you wanted to know what design of living creature it had become. the method would be simple.

there was a time when murders with a blood stained garment had the ability to avoid justice they had killed a rabbit or chicken or some other meat animal + the law couldnt prove the contrary. those days are gone forever.

if we had dried blood, the stain of blood, or live blood + put it into the test tube with an antihuman precipitin, an almost instant result would reveal if it was animal, or if it was human.

it cannot tell the difference between two varieties of animals, or two varieties of man, but will instantly conclude the once living matter under investigation was animal or human. if it is human there are other chemical devices now that can be applied to bone + tissue + they can even tell you what race the human being belonged to. if the indication is it is animal there are analogical means of which the kind of animal may be classified.

in other words... if we (everyone) was asked to find the latest phytology finding of our generation we could do no better than turn to:

we will get deeper, though, how could paul the apostle know this modern wisdom? evolutions claimed them all the same.

in "acts" its gives seven reasons to finding god. the third reason is the argument for typology, "and hath made of one blood all nations of men to dwell on the face of the earth".

there is no scientific argument against this statement of paul.

if an inquirer should bring into a labratory a doctor for this type of work + seven drops of blood + ask for the classification of the blood, the problem would be simple for someone who is trained in the field of science. the seven samples from the vains of an ape, horse, a goat or chicken + a man e.c.t. a quick procedure would show where each specimen of blood came from.

if the same investigator should bring in to the labratory seven drops of human blood + ask for a classification from these types of blood he would seek such information in vain. it is impossible to tell the difference between the blood of a chineese to an anglo-saxon, a german to an irishman. they are all just human blood.

the lastest pioneer of phytologist can not over throw what was written over two-thousand years ago. paul said all human blood was identical, when racism was at its highest point in history. how did paul a born roman come to the conclusion the fact that modern science has established by research when there was segregation from mixing blood lines with percieved lesser races.

modern science actually gave the christians an apology for this matter of faith that was turned into fact with advanced knowledge only in recent times. there are much deeper factors to the matter in question that science has ruled out the writings of paul just being one giant fluke of a guess. but your not reading this for any other reason than a laugh, so i will just shut up shop. vanzack, i'm not here to go to war with you, but take up your offer that you treat everyone you meet the same. which would include treating both a christian the same as a atheist, unless this is where the lines become a blur on your standards. asking for proof rather than an explanation will provide a better debate. unless you are just trying to entertain yourself, but then you cant have it both ways + you dont treat everyone you meet the same. goodbye + goodluck van...

My gal is catholic and I have debated this topic with her many times.  In the end, she tells me she says she feels bad for me because I wasn't raised in a religious environment.......but she never really answers my questions.   

In the end, she believes because that is what she was taught.  I am skeptical because that is what I see.

you didnt ask myself any specific questions. vanzack was the only individual that did so. have i been present + active throughout this entire thread or did i just appear? have i directed one post towards you? this is my first communication with you, is it not? + just where did i claim to know the truth? actually, where did i state i'm a christian?

van - couldnt all that religious literature in books you read spoon feed you a better response. that question you asked the forum, "why does god hate amputees?" was the inspiration of a well known atheist that you borrowed it from. what would he have to say about my post? but when one follows the work of such flawed sources + individuals, that is to be expected. its no wonder you base all your loaded questions on faith, because that is the exact same thing you do when you read all those books. did you ever bother to follow up what became of the authors works you seem to mimic in so many of your posts. would that reading be "mindnumbingly stupid." because they all would now endorse what i have written.

van - btw....marshall brain, founder of "how stuff works" is also the author of an anti-christian website, "why does god hate amputees," which has been renamed to "why won't god heal amputees?"

i would have much more respect for mr. brain, if he would sign his name to his writings. however, now, his name has disappeared for some reason from the pages of his own website.

for anyone who wants to know where vanzack gets his material from..... marshall brain has designed an experiment to "prove" that god cannot heal amputees. the experiment goes something like this. pick an amputee (must have both legs severed, just one would not be good enough), + have millions of christians throughout the world pray for his healing. according to brain, this proves that god does not exist. the main problem is that the experiment has never been done. so, in reality, brain has proved nothing. there are more flaws, but i have to let van hold on to some myths. my personal favourite from brain is he thinks that technology will solve all the world's problems, including wars + hunger.

HutchEmAll - if a response is of such importance to yourself in the context of the question, i addressed a response to vanzack which can be found within post #149. hutch, dont have all the answers, but there you can read my understanding of the question from having read the scriptures. my point was valid to van, because he was using the question to prove god false, to which it does not.

If you really think that I stole someone elses idea and tried to present it as my own, you are not only an idiot - but are totally deflecting away from answering the question.  Of course I didnt "invent" the question why doesnt god heal amputees.

It is a simple allegory to help morons like you try to understand the uselessness of prayer, and it is a sometimes effective illustration to point to the fact that the obvious answer is because it is a measurable result, instead of an invisible result that can be attributed to many things.

Oh well.  Your position in your last 2000 posted words is that somehow because I am well read on the subject, on both sides, and can quote your bible better than most christians, and have actually read it and studied it - along with all kinds of intelligent literature to the contrary - that somehow using all of that knowledge makes me a plagiarist or less effective debater because I have a knowledge bank that was built through studies that are not originally my own.  That alone might make you the biggest moron at covers.

The last posts by Rostos and SirJD are them just highlighting the few words of a sentence that they can relate to a verse in the bible..   

If you take out the judging nonsense Rostos posted.. there are more than 10 replies in the thread where they just quote a verse from the bible..

Thats the problem.. they think they can find all of the answers in the bible...
