I wonder how the Canadian situation will play out. Is Charles now HEAD OF STATE? seems to me the governor general or even the province lieutenant GOV should be able to handle it.
I mean no disrespect to Canada in this idea of not having a king or queen but maybe this is the time at the change of the guard.
Kinda like how EVERYONE in NY state north of Kingston wants to be free of NYC and all of its burdens of having it. Dems want it cause of population voting but 80% of the state is rural/mountains

Canada will always support the monarchy, and Charles has always been loved by the population here.
His reign as King will be received with open arms.

His son Harry is now a Canadian resident.
Not sure if the King will be visiting any time soon.
But the heir might drop in and see his Brother.

The reunion between the couples — once dubbed the "Fab Four" by the British press – came after William extended a last-minute invite to his brother and sister-in-law. A Kensington Palace spokesperson told The Times of London that William, who now holds the title of the Prince of Wales, invited the Sussexes to join him and Middleton on a royal walkabout in front of Windsor Castle.

Last funeral for the Queen.
In the hand of Queen Victoria.
The year 1900 had been Queen Victoria’s annus horribilis: “a horrible year, nothing but sadness and horrors of one kind & another,” she wrote.
When Queen Victoria died at the age of 81 on 22 January 1901, it took her family, court and subjects by surprise – very few had been able to contemplate the mortality of the monarch who had ruled over Britain and its empire for almost 64 years. Her death marked the end of the Victorian era. Here, Stewart Richards considers Queen Victoria’s final moments, the chaotic preparations for her state funeral on 2 February 1901.
