Roulette is a sick game. The odds are totally in favor of the house, yet I’ve found that by betting 7 numbers and by measuring my win rate over 10-20 hands, and setting a time cap of 45-60 minutes, I actually do all right. My 7 numbers are spread pretty evenly throughout the board, they’re all birthdays tbh. What approach do you prefer?

If you bet a single number on an American Wheeel the vig on the bet is 5.25.If you bet 7 numbers on a single spin the vig is 5.25.If you bet all your personal friends birthdays on red/black,dozens, or columns combined the vig is 5.25. What to hell is 'doing all right'?? Roulette is a good game if you have a Free Play or you want to impress a hot babe with what a ruthless gambler you are and you flash alot of chips all over the board.
Its a Game for Tourists.

My approach to roulette (haven't played in 10+ years) - buy as many chips as I want to lose over the next hour or so, drink a few free drinks, enjoy the action, and whatever I walk away with I consider to be a bonus. When I play, I stick to the outside bets and try and catch a streak. I once won 8 even number bets in a row, and didn't double up a single time. If I remember correctly, back then, the chips were worth 25 cents each and I think I was betting about $3 per spin.
God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.

Doing all right = buyin for $200-$300, get that back and profit $300-$500 in each 45-minute session. Have done that 3 of the last 4 times, the 4th time left with a $60 profit.

You are going to get a lot of anecdotal evidence, personal stories, and short term results testimonials in this thread. Even your post is this.
Here is all you need to understand about Roulette..... (and craps)
**EVERY BET ON THE BOARD IS A NEGATIVE EV BET**
With the above, there is NO COMBINATION OF WAGERS, NO COMBINATION OF STAKING STRATEGIES, NO COMBINATION OF ANYTHING THAT CAN MAKE IT +EV.
Basically, the more you bet, the more you lose. Doesnt matter what you do. Now.... If you like playing - great. But you should understand that you cannot turn the math in your favor. It is impossible. The best approach is betting the BEST -EV bet on the board, for as little money as possible (other than staying away completely, which I highly recommend).

Quite a few 'European Wheels' can be found in Vegas. Only 1 green, (instead of 2) (reduce vig to 2.75) .... & if you're playing the outside, (red/blk, odd/even, high/low) you'll be able to cut the vig advantage in half, again, to 1.35. At this point, you must apply artificial intelligence; I prefer a free source coding program, like python. Instead of being impress with a streak of 8, it will reveal streak lengths in upwards of 38-40. Uses your own physical data of when you were at the table, and your homework will be done for you before you step up to the table.

Casinos will send a car to pick you up to play in this manner.Firstly, there are very few single 0 wheels in Vegas and most are in high limit sections.Player does not have a vig advantage, casino always has the advantage just a case of OP doesn't understand of which he speaks. There is NO way in Hell that the vig can be reduced/halved by playing the Even Money bets outside. The vig is constant on every bet (2.75),the OP wants to use his phone to flip an arttificial intelligence coin, and by the uninformed comments of OP I would be willing to wager a considerable amount that he has NEVER made a wager in a Las Vegas casino on a Wheel.

I was a pit boss in The Palms casino in LV back in 2008-2010 when it was THE place to be seen. I'd usually have 5 blackjack tables and one roulette table in my section. My roulette table would always make $4,000 - $6,000 in a shift. For the poster that mentioned European wheels, there is a few in LV. However, they jack the minimums up to double or triple what you find on the normal wheel on the floor.

666LES, never said it was a 'vig advantage', & yes they do give you half your risk back, if you're playing the outside. Thinking you've never played much at this level if you've never been to a wheel with those rules? I make a bimonthly trip out to Vegas, so your 'NEVER made a wager' acusation couldn't be further from the truth. Your, 'pick you up to play' comment holds some truth. I'm comp'd more nights, & food, than I could ever use. Usually I take an Uber to pass out bags of comp'd food to tent city.

another assumption you make; 'the OP wants to bring his phone to flip an artificial intelligence coin. There is no use of phones at the table. Cell phones won't handle the required memory to operate python. I understand this is emotionally charging to some. I learned decades ago, don't gamble, grind. Lack of discipline in regards to bankroll management is how the strip was built, & continues to swell.

Again, the poster calling for the vig to be Cut to 1.35% on Outside ONLY would apply if Lapartage Rule is in effect and it only applys if the 0 is hit. This play DOESN'T cut the vig in half on plays that don't result in 0,I have No idea where poster plays in LasVegas (if thats so) but the facts of wagering seem to escape him.

0 is correct …. ‘seem to escape him’, ??? fully aware, …. we’d probably have to meet for lunch, as the forum isn’t condusive to explaining a lot of detail.

I’m aware it’s a negative EV game, but I’ve had a good run at it the last few years by limiting my play and paying attention to win rates and setting an alarm every 20-30 rolls. I get its a small sample size, but I just don’t hear other people doing that.

Eistein states the only way to win at roulette is to steal the money... That being said on veterans day pearl harbor and memorial day play big red 1 exclusively it hits quite a bit....

Don’t need to make this complicated. Take your bankroll over to the baccarat table. Best odds in the casino. And it’s a very simple game. DO NOT PLAY SIDE BETS. Don’t let the Asians bother you because if you are betting the same as them (either Player or Bank) you will quickly earn their trust. If you don’t want to bet or the table seems divided then sit out a hand or two. It’s really that simple.

One more thing and GG will attest to this....baccarat is one of the few games that really attracts crowds if thats your thing and seeing people crumble, flip, tear the cards to shreds is a sight to behold. I've seen cards fly out peoples hands with more velocity than a Nolan Ryan fastball.

I just dabble with casino games, including baccarat...I like to wait for someone who looks like he is about to dump money, and go against him. Pisses people off when you wait for them to make a play then go against.
I also play baccarat after I am playing blackjack and the dealer can't lose a hand, then I go bet banker in baccarat

Baccarat can be hilarious at times. I had a $2K wager on Banker (as did the entire table) and Player had a 7. Let a lady open the Banker hand because she was on a heat streak. She folds them, she bends them, she caresses them. All of a sudden she tears the cards in half and chucks them into the dealers face. Of course we knew exactly what the cards were. 6.

Love the game of Pai Gow but too many pushes.
