Say a 9 year old girl knocks on your door just after midnight…

and says she was kidnapped, beaten, and raped and needed help.

Would you help her or would you think it was some sort of scam?

speaking of 9 year olds made me think of this which happened recently......a real doozy

First instinct would be to let her in and call the police...but I would then make sure that I had something swingable to hand such as a bat or firepoker or something just in case.

Not necessarily in case it was a scam, but more in case the sicko who could do that to a young girl came looking for her...

i can't imagine anyone not helping her

As a Father of 2 daughters, I would probably instinctively help.

 Maybe we should send The Tucson SWAT team to pay this guy a visit

 Even reading the story sends me into a protective rage! I dont think i know anyone who wouldnt help her, and if i did i would no longer associate with them for their caracter is obviously flawed! 

They should put this guy in a cell handcuffed and shackeled and let her family go in there with a baseball bat at give them 15 minutes alone....no questions asked.

First, you gotta let her in. Turning a blind eye is why many criminals don't get punished.

Second, kill that prick now.

Third, shame on the Mom. How many more stories do we have to hear about the down-on-her-luck Mom who keeps a bad boyfriend or puts people around her kids that otherwise shouldn't be there. Renting a room in your house to a dude when you have underage daughters doesn't make sense to me no matter what the reason. That includes live-in boyfriends. Come on!

Most people's first instinct is to lock the doors and protect yourself first.

3rd, grab your gun

Police were able obtain a search warrant to collect DNA evidence and compare it to the samples taken from the girl.

  My question is this, This scumbag rapes/beats this girl. LAw enforcement executes a search warrant and kicks down this guys door and he is sitting in a chair and states, "I got something for you"  - what would you do If you were :

  A)  A cop entering that location    ?

  B) ask the gentelman  to please put away your gun, even though we are here with a F*cking SWAT team must mean your a bad ass and a potential hazard too society, and arrest him with NO Further incident and remind him, that he deserves a fair trial ?

 c)  I don't care anymore

scam or no scam, the fact of the matter is simple.

  Straightshooter,timdogs17 or hell DTOWN would never even think about it being a scam once a 9 year old girl knocked on your door stating this,

      I would think everyguy would react like this                                                   1) open the door

  2) call the police

 3) hope and pray this guy who raped/beat her isn't gonna come

into my home

4) but wehat do I know, I can't possibly assure you that I know this victim
