i can tell by your post you must be new at this
There is a difference between slow playing and slow rolling. You slow played a monster hand. No foul there. And I can see slow playing a big hand to maximize what you get out of a pot, but I don't think you need to sit their for minutes before you call...even when you are slow playing.
This is slow rolling: To turn over a winning hand in a non-timely fashion, usually done by sleazy players to annoy opponents....when they know they have the hand won.

That is not slow rolling. Slow rolling is when you are called or you call his play and you clearly have the winning hand but pretend that you don't when flipping the cards or just flat take a long a$$ time to flip your cards. Basically it is like rubbing salt into the wounds of another player. I see nothing wrong with what you did if what you rely is accurate.
Not slow rolling at all. - Jerson said it exactly right.

Players always like to get their money back but you did nothing wrong. It used to agitate me but playing enough hands has allowed me to really not sweat that whatsoever. Discipline makes for a winning player and if you hit your daily goal after one hand then go ahead and leave. In a friendly setting I usually give a heads up on my last orbit but at the end of the day everyone is there to win money so do whats best for you!

If you have the nuts on the river and wait for the other guy to flip his cards over first, thats slow rolling. If that's what you did, then yes it's a dick move.
BTW I play at Niagara sometimes (mostly seneca on the American side though) please don't slow roll me

You did not sound like a popular guy at the table. What casino was this and what size table?

Fuck that, u play your cards how u want....I would of looked at the other guy and said "pay the man".....
Slow rolling has notning to do with how you play your cards....the hand is over....flip up the cards and scoop your pot. Pretty simple.
