from the 86th floor Observatory, 1050 ft (330m), I am sure he was close to or at terminal (roughly 120 mph flat and stable) when he hit. I wonder if he bounced? Dude must have been some desperate to pull that shyt.

Back to the subject..........If you want to die, jumping off of a building knowing death is coming within a minute, isn't "having balls".   Now, if he wanted to live, and he jumped of the ESB with a glider or something, thats balls.

Also, like I mentioned before......living and dealing with his problems would have been the manly/ballsy thing to do.  Killing yourself, especially putting other people in harms way, is very cowardly.  Also, he put himself all over the news.........that makes it how much worse for his family to have to deal with?

This piece of shit never gave it a single thought about the harm he has caused to the people that saw him hit ot the immediate aftermath. That will fuck some people up forever so FUCK HIM.

And I don't know much about physics but is freefalling from that height that much different than a skydiver freefalling for awhile? They don't have heart attacks. No idea if gravity has that much of a different effect or not.

Classic suicide case of an individual causing tremendous bodily damage to himself. (Very powerful self hatred).

Suicide is both spontaneous and an extreme act of control. This young man had no regard for anybody below him as Pez noted. Nobody was hit thank god.

Yes he did reach term velocity at zero g's from that height.

Very sick young man. @ now.

SF has bridge jumpers almost once a week.It aint pretty.

I've thought about suicide before... not because of any depressed thoughts or anything but simply because I struggle with the 'meaning of life'. It's hard to come to grips with your mortality without finding a purpose for your life... when I fail to find an answer, it seems pointless to keep drudging on.

But I'm a box and could never do it/I'm not giving up on finding my meaning.

Skydivers fall about 5.5 seconds per thousand feet. This dude had a good 6 or 7 second fall.

Next time you feel this way, just think of how this cowardly act will make those who care about you feel.  I hope you do not have a wife or kids and entertain these thoughts.  Assuming you don't, think of your parents, siblings, friends, etc.

In my opinion, the "meaning of life" is that you only get one chance to live on this earth.  Enjoy it as much as you can.  Make it as enjoyable as you can for others around you.
