This where you lose me too. I don't watch enough soccer to know if the game has changed a bunch from the time Maradonna played to now but basketball? It was a rough game back in 90s. We'll never know for sure obviously but from my observations over the years Curry would have gotten broken back then. I think he would have been a great shooter back then but would not have been able to dominate just because he's so slight and guys were allowed to touch one another. He is very fun to watch nowadays but I don't think it's possible to compare eras.

It's not that curry would be shut down but the Pistons would have had the players and the rules to be able shut down the offense they run.
Also Isaiah would have put pressure on curry to defend which is how I think you break him. You can't stop him on offense individually but I think you can wear him down by making him play defense.
This is why I think in the playoffs GS is in trouble against OKL. Curry having to guard Westbrook over a 7 game series is huge issues.
Last year's championship curry avoided having to match up with both Westbrook and Paul and instead was playing against people like dellavadova and Jason Terry
