It's even comical when people think Ronaldo is better than Messi.

Jordan was the very best I ever saw in person.  Like a damned Chess Champion.  Jordan had it figured out BEFORE four or five teammate passes and then he was where nobody thought he would be and then bury the shot.  Incredible knack for seeing his teammates develop the play and Jordan was always there for the kill shot.

Call it being in the zone.  Call it anything you wish.  The great ones follow the game flow, not the passes, and they are always in the right spot at the right time.  It's not by accident.  They feel the play and are not interested where the ball is at, but anticipate where the ball is going to be.

Great way to go out for one of the best to play the game.

I wish Steph all the best, but he has a lot to prove until you can compare him to Kobe or Jordan.  Ultimately, I think he will win several Championships and will break records.  Let's hope he doesn't get injured.  People will speak of him for decades.

I hear you Slob but i made this thread banking on the Warriors winning the title again this year which is a real,real possibility given how up and down the Cavs are and nothing has changed with his personal form to suggest otherwise, If he wins two titles back to back he's already surpassed Kobe and Lebron in my book. Plus Lebron has lost far too many big games to even be considered in the goat discussion, Jordan's the only debatable one in this discussion for me.

the guy wasnt even the mvp on his OWN TEAM that won the title last year,hes feckin outrageously good but just chill...he got a looooong way to go before eclipsing jordan just yet.

lets put it this way,if curry got hit by a bus tommorw and never played another game wud you really have him placed above jordan as all-time best player????

You would assume this is ring number 2 for him so he's got roughly 10 years barring injury to win 3 more championships to cement what i think, GOAT.

Just the small matter of 38 points in a decisive game in the NBA Finals, No biggie but yeah if Steph Curry played in the 90's he doesn't make a bucket, Not one god damn bucket.

Basketball is more than just offense. Remember the WCF when Russell Westbrook was asked about Curry's defense? He started laughing. Looks to me like Kyrie Irving is having himself quite an offensive showing in this Finals. I am sure it is just coincidence that he is matched up against Curry, and balling out.

You will never be able to put Curry in the same category as Kobe and MJ because they also dominated the defensive end. Look up how many NBA all defensive teams Kobe and Michael were on.

Remember game 3 of this series? Curry's +/- was -25!

Show me where MJ was ever -25 in the NBA Finals.

You seem to be fascinated by offense. Go on Youtube and watch Jordan's 63 point performance against the '86 Celtics. You also seem to be a fan of fuzzy math, so I am sure Curry's 41 over the Blazers will be more impressive to you than Jordan's 63, but watch it anyways.

When Curry gets his 2nd ring, the discussion about LeBron and Curry will begin, and rightfully so, but do yourself a favor. Quit advertising your lack of sports acumen by comparing Steph to Kobe and MJ. Especially MJ. There is no comparison, plain and simple.

Curry pulled off one feat that MJ, Kobe and Lebron will never achieve. Up 3-1 in the NBA finals and gagged it away. Never been done before. Gotta hand it to him, he distanced himself from the above three, unfortunately, it was in the wrong direction.

Too early to say... Curry is a great shooter and scorer but he is also a proficient point guard and able to facilitate and offense.   He has the tools to be one of the greatest.  I personally will aways see him as injury prone and fragile which might show later in life and how long he can sustain his career.  

Remember how hyped up grant hill was?

He went from grant hill to "can't heal"

That was my point, everyone including tard OP are all in a hurry to call guy who has had 2-3 great years one of the best of all time.  I feel like most people would come up with a very similar top 5 and cant see how anyone could argue Curry at this point.

flopped yet again in a finals series(by his own insanely hi standards that is)....jordan has set the bar so absurdly high that it just makes you remember how remarkable he was anytime the next biggest thing is annointed....guys getting all hot and bothered anytime the new flavour of the month is promoted....just goes to show how tough it is to win 2 titles,let alone 6 of the frickin things undefeated.

curry still is a spectacular talent and adds a dimension never seen before but as mentioned many times before a guy like jordan was one of the very best at BOTH ends of the floor and almost never shriveled when the stakes were highest........plenty more time left in curry's career but safe to say at this point in time there is zero comparison.

messi and curry do have one thing in common tho.....they both blew it on the biggest stage at the most crucial time this year....such is sport and life sumtimes...even guys with that much genius suffer the vagaries and variances that affect everyone to different degrees.

I love Curry, and i'm a die-hard Warriors fan, but he ain't the GOAT. He'll never be the defender Jordan was. Steph's the greatest shooter, one of the greatest scorers, but he ain't the GOAT. I think he's a better defender than he gets credit for but he's at times a defensive liability. He's a point guard who isn't really the de facto point of his own team. Draymond is. Let's slow down on calling him the GOAT.
