    The spring time home of the Mets, Port St.Lucie, just had their police department destroyed by a tornado.

    When first hearing of this, I asked my dad, "How it could be?" He essentially explained it as, i'm paraphrasing, that they kinda sucked at the time. New York had become a hell hole with a failing economy. When you watch movies like, "The Warriors" that take place in New York of that era, they aren't actually far from reality.

    Why would someone harass/intimidate FEMA workers that have come to help your community?

    As his sentence, the fucktard they arrested should be forced to help clean up.

    I look at the unmitigated corporate greed but am easily reminded that I benefited from it during my working days.

    Not much seems to matter anymore.

    Fernando Mania is now inside the Pearly Gates. Crazy thing, the year he won 21 games...TWENTY of them were complete games. Pitchers today don't make it past five innings!

    @Midnight1

    It's amazing how facing tough times can help someone see the beauty in life. Your friend’s thoughts about NFL fans show how much passion people have for their teams, which is really cool. Sports can bring people together in such a fun way, even when life is hard. It’s a great reminder to appreciate the good moments we have. Thank you for sharing this experience!

    I grew up in the Northeast where stories began with "A long time ago" or "Once upon a time."

    Moved to Florida in 74 & learned Southern stories begin with "Y'all ain't gonna believe this shit."

    True dat!

    The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

    Just watched a commercial where a guy who works in a pharmacy is touting how much Prevagen has helped his memory.

    I'm thinking I don't want a guy with memory issues working in a pharmacy.

    So I'm at a casino and going to the men's room. All you do is push the door open. To get out you gotta pull a door handle.

    So going in you just lean your shoulder on the door. On the way out after washing my hands see a bunch of drunks who probably pissed on their hands, never washed, and they grab that handle. WTF!

    The handle should be on the outside going in and just push to get out. But oh no, after washing up you gotta grab that handle that some crusty pecker holder who didn't wash his hands went out ahead of you.

    Makes no sense.

    This might sound terrible but....

    I don't give a shit about the United Healthcare CEO getting gunned down.

    I'm more concerned about the 2 kindergarten children shot in Cali.

    My wife has a cousin married to a soldier stationed in Germany. She just came back from the post office after mailing family Christmas presents to them.

    I mention this because I was shocked that the package will arrive at the Germany MPO (Military Post Office) in 3 days!

    We send our FPL bill to Miami & it takes about 6 days to get there. WTF???

    As UNIMAN said earlier, some things just don't make sense.

    Today is the 83rd anniversary of Japan's' bombing of Pearl Harbor. It was the 1st attack on American soil in history & we all know how that turned out.

    The 2nd attack on American soil was 911. Young men & women joined the armed forces after the strikes. Americans came together once again.

    Sadly, the 3rd attack on US soil was January 6th. This may have been the most devastating attack of all because it has divided our country worse than any other assault in our history.

    Don't forget to fly your flag today in remembrance of the greatest generation of men and women who served to protect our country.

    9/11;  2,996 deaths

    12/7/41;  2,400 deaths

    1/6/2021; 1 woman shot dead while crawling on her knees.

    The delusion caused by Trump hatred. WOW!

    @UNIMAN

     My comment wasn't about the lives lost caused by these incidents. Don't be a moron!

    January 6th has divided our country almost as badly as slavery that resulted in the Civil War.

    Grow the fuck up!

    People are fed up getting screwed over by insurance companies.

    Doesn't matter if it's car insurance, you'll get screwed, life insurance, you'll get screwed, health insurance, you'll get screwed & let's not forget our nemesis in South Florida PROPERTY INSURANCE, YOU'LL GET SCREWED!

    If you haven't been screwed over yet your lucky but it's inevitable you will in your lifetime.

    Wouldn't be surprised to see copycat attacks on other executives in different industries. We see it all the time in small businesses when a person gets fired or in their mind screwed over, they return to the workplace looking for their boss or the owner to settle things.

    Life means so little to so many.

    @Midnight1

     January 6th has divided our country almost as badly as slavery that resulted in the Civil War.

    LMAO funniest thing I've seen all day....

    How often do you hear anyone EVER talk about J6.....not say something specifically in favor or against BUT say ANYTHING about J6 as a topic ??

    I have never heard that topic come up in conversation with a real human in the past 4 years.  ZERO times.  Other than the media controlled mouthpieces on TV, nobody gives a shit about it.

    To compare it to Pearl Harbor or 9/11 is a complete joke and only stains the memory of the first two "actual attacks" on the Country.

    To compare the "division" it has caused versus slavery is only one small step down in being an equal joke of comparison.  Again, the alleged "division" that is non-existent to the vast majority of Americans here I'm sure is no where close to your slavery analogy.  I wasn't alive back in that day to compare the two....but neither was anyone else so there's that small fact....

    You will not survive here. You are not a wolf, and this is the land of wolves now...

    Here's an idea, stop smoking bowls of weed. an_light

    Jan 6th did no such thing, rather was a result of an already divided country.
