I do understand your skepticism. To a rational adult the thought of manipulating a child for personal gain is not rational.

In America there are child labor laws for child actors. Having a child does not mean you should have a child. Being a parent is the hardest job in the world and when the wrong person has a child the child suffers.

Mommy and Daddy could be rationalizing how wonderful a life the child would have as soon as the reality TV show about a transgender 1st grader starts to air.

I can easily see explaining to little Coy...

Mommy, "OK Coy, we don't like cars and trucks do we, we like dolls. Here is your barbie, Coy loves barbie, right."

Mommy, "OK Coy, we don't like pant, pants have legs, here is a dress, nothing between the legs, Coy wants to wear a dress, right."

Mommy, "OK Coy, this is perfume, we like to wear perfume don't we Coy."

Mommy, "OK Coy, these are cotton underpants, we don't like cotton underpants, we like satin. Cotton is scratchie and we can not wear them, satin feels good, we can wear those."

Mommy, "OK Coy, this is lip stick. We like to wear lip stick."

Que Camera, Distraught Mommy speaking, "I Love my child, I know Coy is really a girl trapped in a boys body... She refuses to wear boys clothes, she will only wear little girls underwear, She will only play with little girl toys and she wants to wear perfume and makeup to be pretty... I Love my child, I just want her to be happy."

People have done much worse through Munchausen by Proxy Syndrome... Look it up...

I have read a lot of stupid things on the internet over the years, but this right here has got to be the dumbest thing that I have read yet.

He thinks architects should change the normal ways of designing buildings and start adding in extra bathrooms for the very small percentage of lost souls who are confused about what they are supposed to be.

So we should have 3 bathrooms in school:

Boys
Girls
????

I guess in your mind whomever posts the most emoticons and spaces out their posts larger is the one who won the debate. That is something that only someone that lives in a fantasy bubble would think.

So joining the real world means changing the way things have always been and catering to a few people that want to be different? "Let's build a special bathroom for Johnny because he thinks he's a girl" then 2 years later Johnny realizes he doesn't want to be a girl anymore and now there is a 3rd bathroom that serves no purpose.

Nothing like throwing away money on a worthless cause.

I had to revive this thread b/c of the bold comments above. I said this two and a half years ago and now we find out the head of the Spokane NAACP chapter has done exactly this.
