Statistics back it up, there is no crusade by cops to kill blacks. Or to harass them. Everyone runs into rude, power trip cops it's just that when it happens to white people they call them jerks and when it happens to blacks they call them racists.
You know I've been trying to find a post with some like-minded individuals to vent my frustrations with, but all the comments in articles are overwhelmingly for the deceased.
First off, don't break the law (stealing, selling loose cigarettes), don't resist arrest, don't get killed.
Let's start with Michael Brown. Throw out all the witness testimony because no one really knows what they saw. It's in the eyes of the beholder and people make mistakes when describing what happened.
Based on the forensic evidence, these are given;
1. Michael Brown robbed a convenience store. He stole a box of 40 packs of cigarellos and forced his way out of the store.
2. Michael Brown attacked the officer inside his vehicle. A struggle ensued based on the blood inside and the forensic evidence supported the claim at Brown went for the officer's gun.
What happened afterwards nobody knows for sure. All I know is someone that commits a robbery, resists arrest, then assaults a police officer should expect to get his @ss whooped Rodney King style at the very minimum. Brown didn't deserve to die, but based on his actions he was begging for something bad to happen to him.

In regards to Eric Garner, he had a history of selling loose cigarettes (another crime). Don't tell me he was just trying to feed his family and it justifies breaking the law. If you can't afford to take care of 6 kids, THEN DON'T HAVE 6 KIDS! Wrap that garbage up you lazy cheap phuq.
Didn't see on the video he was committing a crime, but the police do this all the time. We give them the benefit of the doubt, because they are typically right. Don't forget that these policeman risk their lives every day to deal with rapists, murderers, robberies, etc. Have some respect for these guys!
Don't resist arrest! You can hear him on the video say "You ain't arresting me, this stops today!" He resists and they have to wrestle him to the ground.
I believe the rule about chokes has more to do with interrogations. But even if it doesn't, he did what was reasonable to apprehend a suspect. It's unfortunate that the man had a heart attack, but as a politician said today, Garner died because he had a heart condition and was obese. A normal person would not have died from that. A law abiding citizen wouldn't have dealt with that at all I will add.
He was saying "I can't breathe," but a person who is really choking doesn't have enough circulation to clearly state that several times. Criminals say this all the time. "My cuffs are too tight" "You're hurting me." If the cops listened to everyone that said that, people would probably be seriously injured or suspects would escape. I'll take inflicting extra pain on a criminal rather than risking the lives of the innocent every time!

I am absolutely sick of people making this a race issue. There is racism in the world, but the majority of cops treat innocent people with respect!
Don't break the law, don't get killed.
/End rant

The New York City Police Department has issued an order banning the use of choke holds, the restraining maneuvers that cut off the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain and have been blamed in the deaths of suspects here and around the nation.
The policy in New York grew from concern about the rising number of deaths in police custody over the last eight years, including that of Federico Pereira, a 21-year-old Queens man who in 1991 died of what the medical examiners called "traumatic asphyxia." Five officers were charged, but the charges against four were dropped and the fifth was acquitted.
At a police promotion ceremony at One Police Plaza, Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly characterized the ban not as a new policy but as clarification of a 1985 order. That order said that "choke holds, which are potentially lethal and unnecessary."

I fear the herd of well meaning idiots which believe that authority is to be followed at all cost... even at the expense of self-evident morality.
The death squads and concentration camps of history were never staffed by rebels and dissidents. They were run by those who followed the rules.

The bottom line is blacks commit more crime than whites, period. So why wouldn't a cop be a little more suspicious of a black person than a white person? Theyre just playing the odds the same way we all do every day to make decisions. If you saw me (a white man) leave a backpack somewhere and walk away you likely wouldn't think too much about it. If you saw a middle eastern man do the same thing you would likely be a little concerned. Why? Because middle eastern type men have historically been more responsible for terrorist acts than a white person. Does that mean ALL middle eastern men are terrorists and ALL white men aren't? Absolutely not, but you gotta play the odds and if one person is more "likely" to be a criminal based on past history then you have to act accordingly.
Here's the best part though, don't commit crimes and you don't have to worry what race, nationality, or gender you are !!! Crazy how that works huh !!!
