Most Americans are too dumb and lazy to do anything armed or unarmed.

When the US government turns it tanks, missiles, battleships, planes, and drones against you, does it make a diffrence if you have a horde of pistols, rifles and shotguns?  You might make them mad, but that is about it.

The context in which you are liberally using regarding the founding fathers is severely misguided.

You asserting this has no validity.

    Why don't you demonstrate it?

you mean you don't think the citizens armed with pistols and assault rifles would be a good match for the US government with its $680 billion annual military budget?  at least for a few minutes?

Read what I posted in post #11.

Unless a leftists administration trains members of Greenpeace or Code Pink to man those tanks, battleships, and fighter jets, the current members of the military will not enforce an unlawful order.

I repeat, gun owners have the military on their side because many of them are the same people. If you don't believe me ask any current member or former (post-Vietnam) vet. I'm one of them and this site has many others.

i don't understand.  are you saying if the government passes laws to restrict guns, no one is going to enforce them and law enforcement will turn against our government?

Yes, clearly the might of the US military would almost instantly crush any kind of resistance force made up of dedicated individuals willing to die for their cause.

On a completely unrelated topic: how long has the US military been in the Middle East trying to put an end to their enemies there?  Surely with all those “tanks, missiles, battleships, planes, and drones” it wasn’t long at all, right?

    Here's how I see it.

You look at the video of Tower 7. You agree it looks just like a controlled demolition. You know that never before in history has a steel building collapsed from fire. Tower 7 wasn't hit by an aircraft, it was only struck a glancing blow from debris from Tower 1 falling. Buildings which Tower 1 hit directly didn't collapse.

Knowing all this, you believe that Tower 7 wasn't destroyed by controlled demolition. Because...if you believe that, then you also believe that Towers 1 and 2 weren't brought down by controlled demolition also, even though they are both picture perfect examples of controlled demolitions.

Why do you believe this? Because you believe in an America in which that could never happen. A fairy tale America.

If anybody in fairy tale America uses their guns to begin some sort of half assed revolt, the tyrannical government won't need the military or the police. As long as the people who believe Tower 7 fell down because of some desks burning and the paper in the photocopy cabinets flaming up, the tyrannical government can count on those people to gun down the people who revolt. Why would they take the guns away?

A fairy tale America.

they figure there would be a revision to the drafted declaration every 10-20 years. which would be settled by a war.

its been widely noted on PBS documentaries.

I saw nothing in those posts that led me to believe the Founding Fathers thought a full blown American revolution was going to happen every ten years.  But hey, that’s just me.

    hell yes it does!

missles can cost millions of dollars---bullets a few bucks----Id rather get taken out by a million dollars than a few-----and----at least we have some sort of strategic chance to take out drones--

in addition----the human mind can only bare so much evil carnage----add that up with the increased risk of their own death because of our weapons----they would be more likely to do the right thing.

I'd rather have something then nothing----I hope you see the fault in your logic----however I do understand what you say----but trust me, we have a 10000 better chance with armed citizens than without-----and remember, the government is only as strong as the people in the military willing to carry out their orders----if there is a chance they may be killed, there is an increased chance they won't listen.

Remember, Germany had tanks during the 1940's------but if they had to fight millions of Jewish  people with so much as a pistol, many who died would have lived.

from my research i would say the founding fathers believed the tyranny they faced would never be forgotten, but in case it was, they were sure to record their feelings on why they made the laws they did--

    good post---agree very much so-----

I'd like to add 2 things to it that would make it perfect

1:----The Twin Towers were designed SPECIFICALLY!!!!  to withstand MULTIPLE COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFTS FLYING INTO IT
2:-----The Empire state building was once hit by an airplane----not even close to tumbling.

It was hit by an airplane one-eighth the size of what hit the World Trade Center towers. Do you think that may have some effect on why the damage wasn't so bad ? Idiot.
