I have an issue I need some help with. Last weekend, I had some work to do at my office and I told my wife that I needed to go in for a few hours to finish some things up. On the way to the office I stopped by a friend's house who was having people over to say hi and have a drink. I am only there for about 20 minutes when the wife sends me a text asking me where I am. I ignore the first text but within minutes she sends another one, then calls me. I thought maybe she was outside my buddy's house, but I looked out and she wasn't there. So I step outside and call her and she asks me why I am at my friend's house without me even telling her. I ask her how she knows and she says that she looked it up on the computer due to the fact my phone has a GPS tracking device. So she goes off about this because she doesn't like my friend and saying I lied to her. I tell her I was just stopping by and then going to work, all true statements. She just blows up and blows the incident way out of proportion and was a complete bitch when I got back home that night.
My MAJOR issue with all of this is that my wife feels the need to track my phone and keep tabs on me. She claimed that the feature is part of AT&T's family plan and that we have always had it on our phones. I am not very technologically advanced and she pays the bills so I don't know. I am just curious if anyone knows if this is standard, or an extra? I just wonder why she feels it's necessary because I am not out having affairs or getting into trouble. I also wonder what my next step should be? I want to get this plan changed or have this feature taken off but then I look suspicious. I really have nothing to hide, it's just the principle of it.
