I was kind of thinking the same thing... Obvioulsy no one knew about it in the first place, so they wouldn't have known how much was there....

I would probably keep it. Its a good lesson to "clean" house before you sell....

Older people like to hide money which goes back to the great depression era distrusting banks.....I have an aunt who had 8K in her freezer and didnt remember....my uncle passed many years ago and they had money hid in sveral places....My mom found it while helping her clean (along with several other stacks of cash) and made her deposit it in the bank...

I would absolutely keep it. I wouldn't feel bad about keeping it either because it is obvious that someone didn't value it enough to keep track of it.

I have returned a wallet with money in it before, but that is different.

I'd keep it for sure. Might give a g to a homeless person in hopes to halt the bad karma tho... just in case
