Euro speed may be at a disadvantage in this and for that reason I’ll be going against Big Evs. Out of the three George Weaver entries, Crimson Advocate may show the most upside but 1-4 are gonna be blazing out of the gate. Plus 4 1/2 month layoff may not be that long unless your a 2 yr old. For those reasons I’m backing another Weaver horse with Flavian Pratt aboard,Amidst Waves. Hasn’t run a bad race against top competition.Hoping I can get close to his 8-1ml. ex box (win order) 9,11,1,8

Feel good story with the passing of hughes who dreamed of breeding beholder with Bolt d’oro now comes to fruition. Named after his daughter Tammy Tamara should be the shortest price of the day and rightly so based on figures. She’ll be doing some thing new at a short price if you want to play against, she has not been around two turns and has not run at this distance. But she’ll need to take a step back to lose this one. I’ll be singling her but outside horses for me are big price Scalable with Jose Ortiz and Just FYI.

So I had my covid and flu shot on Friday and sure enough, yesterday I test positive. What better time then to hunker down in seclusion. load up my NYRA account and play one of the best, if not thee best two days betting in all of sports. Slight change on Race 5 though. The one, although planned, just to long a layoff for me, so I will play another Weaver, No Nay Mets as my 3rd choice including all tris. ex box 9,11,2,8

3 Buchu. Win/place Inside post on the turf and powerful closing kick was what separated him from the rest . Like thee 11 and Chads 12 but outside posts in this kind of race don’t help her. exacta and tri box in finish order (3,9,10 6)

10 Muth checks some boxes Baffert has won this race five times with horses going around 2 turns. Has arguably the best jockey in Hernandez. However times for me are a little suspect and beat a weaker field in Gr 1 Pharoh. This is a wide-open race and winner should be favored to win the Kentucky Derby, but the juvenile hasn’t always lead to winners doing so. I think there’s plenty of horses in here that could win this and become the derby favorite. My pick in here is the 6 horse Locked. Battle tested and overcame a tough race to win the Breeders’ Futurity. W/p on the 6. ex and tri box’s 6,4,10,2,9 (later nap time )

As far as both days go I think it’s more challenging to win on Friday due to horses not having not run as much therefore tougher to gauge . And hey, they two year olds, kids. Any of these can pop and run a great race out of nowhere. Remember all you have to do is hit 20% as far as tri’s go to stay ahead of the game. Most of the winning tri’s on BC weekend average some pretty good figures. Win-place the same way. I will be spending a third of my bankroll on Friday saving the majority if needed for Saturday. That said on to race 9.
Race 9 Juvy turf
Although they were a couple of gr threes like the way Endlessly has put away the competition in three straight races. With decent beyers he should be on the thick of things at a price . With the two gr 3s that should be enough to keep most on a few others. The two River Tiber looks like the real deal but at his price I don’t think he’s a whole lot better then a few others. 9.2,8,7 for me

In the Juvy Race 5, I've watched the replay 4 times with Amidst Waves & Committee of One. On the backside they were racing side by side & neither one looked like they had a chance until Johnny V & Torres piushed their filly's buttons. Sneaky good in the race was #7 Shards who was down on the rail & finished 3rd.
Johnny V beat Beschizza to the small hole that opened up & Shards got semi-steadied following Johnny with Torres flying on the outside. So who really the got the jump on who? I don't know but I do know that no one saw Torres coming on the far outside. But here's the rub for me.....
For all 3 of these closers, today's race is a half furlong shorter. Beschizza & Torres are just in Cali to ride this one race & head back home tonight.
The only problem for these 3 is they will be trying to catch #4 Big Evs & that half furlong shortening may give Big Evs the edge.
Really looking forward to this one!
