Scenic Blast beat home Cost of Freedom in that race also and Cost of Freedom was beaten less then a length in the 2009 Breeders Cup Sprint(he was actually only caught at the wire)
Seriously a old Aussie donkey with form lines around horses who have ran so close up in the Breeders Cup Sprint,Black Caviar would fucking destroy Big Drama and those other American donkeys.

Black Caviar is a good horse but unless she runs in the US or Dubai she will never prove herself to me. How many Aussie horses have ever proved themselves in the states? When she runs in the BC or in the Dubai races and wins then I'll say she is one of the best ever sprinters otherwise she is just an Aussie flash and nothing else!

Go to Australia to run for some small purse money is not worth the expense of shipping. Also, as you know we run on lasix and Bute in this country so most trainers hate to ship where they need to run clean. By the way this is one American horseplayer that wants to have all the horses run witout drugs just like the rest of the world. Anyway I hope that someday Black Caviar can meet some top sprinters in Europe or the USA. IT WOULD BE GREAT!!!

The Victoria Racing Club in Australia has a once in a lifetime opportunity to put up a megaprize pool and attract Frankel, Big Drama, Silent Witness next year to the Autumn/Spring Carnival. Imagine a three race series with Black Caviar, Frankel, Rocket Man, Sepoy, Barakey and Co.
With the high Aussie dollar. it's possible. NOT pay appearance money! If the horse is good enough they win. USA and English racing is in dire straights too. Why not give us a boost and bring them together here? Comon VRC look after our girl and give her what she deserves on our terms. I expect the USA horses will run scared to protect their precious ratings.
At least Scenic Blast might have a crack at her in the Patinack - won't get close but good on them for trying.

Just minutes ago Black Caviar chalked up her 15th straight win without loss. She only had a small field of 4 to deal with but she did it with incredible ease once again. While the field was small it still had some quality with stablemate Doubtful Jack a 9 time winner from 22 starts and a horse some Americans might know - Scenic Blast - who aquitted himself well in the US when last in work and is a winner of the Newmarket handicap in Aus and the Kings Stand Stakes in the UK, but even he was no match for the mighty mare who cantered home with authority by 5 lengths

Lets add another one to the tally :)

They say he is going to the Classic. I am a big fan of recency but wondering if he has too much recency looks like he is off his game he has fired so big several times this year and maybe tailed off a bit in his last two. that race before going two miles did that suck some energy from him?
off a three week break with the Arc before that can he fire his best ever in his first race on real dirt in the Breeder's Cup Classic? does he need his best ever to beat this group? can he run a 115 beyer speed figure on dirt which would prolly win this race by 3 lengths?
Yikes, he is the best horse in the race no doubt in my mind but christ almighty all of these huge races jammed together I don't know. gotta see how he looks and acts out at Churchill the week before the race see if he has his top game with him.
I would consider dropping the hammer at 7/1ish fading Mo and the gal Havre but can he fire big first start on dirt with three huge races in 6 weeks? more risk for me outside of my comfort zone for a larger play BUT this is NOT the greatest crew assembled for the most prestigious dirt race in the world.

distance should be (and I never say this) absolutely perfect for him but he's gotta pick those legs up on real dirt going not once but twice down that long stretch at ole Churchill Downs

Provided he hasn't been flattened with his recent racing then you are spot on - 10 furlongs is his perfect distance.
The Cox Plate (2040 metres), which he won twice, would suggest this is so. In Australia he showed a tremendous cruising speed which allows him to race on the pace and run consistently fast sections. At a mile & a quarter he can kick and still hit the line hard while the other on pace runners are floundering. IMO at this distance he should be ridden in the first 4 and given his head at the 2 furlongs. He will still run those last 2 very fast and something will have to run an incredible last quarter to mow him down.
Of course if he can't handle the dirt or O'Brien has trained the natural speed out of him then he's a dead duck.
I guess that's why it's called gambling!

Yep just read this today and i for one will be having a decent crack at him. O'Brien said he has looked in fantastic order and would race him most weeks if he had his way.
His run in the Arc was sensation - the ride was not!
Last time he had a perfect ride but got nabbed on the line in sensational time. He just was not good enough on that day.
I believe the American racing will suit him perfectly and he may be able to race a little more like he did in Australia and just pour the pressure on and use his pace and strength.
One thing i dont like is Europeans just dont seem to feed there horses enough. This horse was just a powerful monster in Australia and he seems to have lost a tiny bit of that. Still though if you can get out to watch him do because he is one of the finest looking horses you will ever see

Ill just say, if So You Think brings his A game to the Breeders Cup, he will win. At his best he is the best middle distance horse in the World imo, i know others will think im being biased but he has been slaughtered by some shocking rides in Europe from people who obviously dont know how to get the best out of the horse.
I personally think he will race better in America than UK so take of that what you will.

Forgot to say anything pre race but Black Caviar contested the G1 Patinack Farm at Flemington yesterday here are the concluding stages for anyone interested
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jW1PbWWQZ4
Sorry couldnt find any better vision. That was number 16 for anyone counting ;) In this race Buffering is a very nice horse and would run top 4 himself if he went to Royal Ascot next year instead of Black Caviar but se is just a freak of nature. The jockey just doesnt let her go in this race at all! He extended his arms a fraction towards the end and she put 3-4 lengths on them then he just puts her right back on the steel again.
She is an absolute freak of nature.
Next start she travels to the west to take on there unbeaten star BARAKEY in the G1 Winterbottom Stakes. She will face a big field here with owners nominating just so they can race against the champ and be a part of history. This will be one of her toughest tests i feel, if she draws bad there is every chance she will get cluttered up in the big field. The bone hard tracks of WA are a bit of a concern for me also. Having said all that she is currently $1.08 and i would be shocked if she lost still

The wonder mare of the world returns to racing in around 2.5 hours time!!
The odds in the race are quite phenomenal, BLACK CAVIAR is at odds of $1.02 while the next best is 100-1!! Its a field of 6 and she has drawn barrier 1. Hopefully she gets around sound and gives the public a good show

So I heard yesterday she races this Friday and then in two weeks on the 24th. If all goes according to plan she races in Dubai the end of March and the plan has her racing at Royal Acsot in June.
If she is indeed one of the greatest ever, we are soon going to find out.
