Harness Racing Ontario - Mohawk specialty + other B tracks occasionally

Its fun winning PICK5's so congrats but when the account is lighter, its like a kick to the gut. You have to decide early in the evening after capping if you are gonna play a 20 center/60 center or $1/2 play and I rarely do the latter because Mohawk drivers play around with racing tactics at least 1 out of every 5 races.....its actually worse on more tracks but usually you can chalk it up to inexperience

Best track and drivers here ....and maybe Meadowlands 

Do you play hi-5? I always throw a few bucks on it

Liked how the #10 looked....wheeling 45 in Superfecta with #10 for 2nd, 3rd, 4th

My doubles pay decent...return of $126 or $90 if either wins.....

Only play HI5 when I have a major key....I would key #4 and wheel it with #5  and then find 4 other horses you like ...and ALL for the last leg.....it would cost about $30 or so to play it

#7 has excellent back half times....which is what you want for placing in top 5

Will try to handicap....got a friend coming over for beer and burgers.....shoot the breeze

Weather > EAST WIND....14 - 20 mph ....wind will be in their face from 1Q to Half....but behind them when they leave the gate and coming down the lane to finish

It can be a closers AND front end horse wind.....horses on the outside have a big chance to get to the lead or positions so dont shy away from outside positions

Race 1 - 

-definitely like the #2 despite 15-1 morning line as Jodi takes over for trainer who is producing good times on B-tracks

-#3 for sure with JMAC

- #4 has been racing super tough competition

Changing my philosophy until great horses /stakes races arrive soon.....gonna ZAG some of my picks when the programs in some races tell you to ZIG with the times and some trainers etc

I know my success rate per week will fall but will hit one for a large amount to fund the account for the next while when I tend to do better in the cool weather

Race 1 

#1 - this horse was ready to pop last week but was blocked!!! Gingras will bring it home if the other doesn't win

#8 - almost keyed this horse...no other horse in this field has consistently faced the toughest 3 yr olds in N.America like this one has 

Race 2

1267 ....maybe the 4

#3 - want to key this horse ....been on it for a while but need to put in #1 and #9 and #5 on the driver change

...would take 39 only and be comfortable with that selection although Jodi could have been on 4 horses here but he chose #1 horse!

235 and might put in 6 as a longshot.....look at its lines ...wow!!

My ticket 20 cent > 1 8 / 12467 / 1359 / 2356  = $32 

Race 1 > Century Heineken #8 went first over after a 25'4 first quarter cut by #7 but still won the race in 149'2....WHOA!!!

Race #2 was an ALL....OUT! They brought home #5 

Hammered the DOUBLE in race 3  >  13 with 6 in Race 4 .....did a $2 Exactor 59 / 13

Won late Pick5 for $160 for a 20 cent play....spend $36

Awesome horse racing weather!

West wind that is beginning to dry.....horses love being out in these conditions ....winds are diminishing down to 6-10 mph but occasionally there may be a gust

Front enders will have the wind in their face and could use the back half to settle .....closers should not have a problem unless fractions are too slow for the front enders....anything is possible tonight but I lean toward position horses having the edge and that includes even outside horses that can get into the flow early

Looking forward to some pick 5s and hope they pay well tonight

Race 1

Best of the field here imo is the #5, coming of 2 straight wins and 3 wins out of the last 4, with 1 second place finish.  So def. I think #5 is in play.

Liking the #1 here as well, especially at 7-1.  It's already won in this class and just missed winning last race coming in 2nd.

Not sure why the #8 is getting support here And was listed as the favorite.  Only 1 start in 2021, which was last week and finished 4th, albeit front the 10th spot.  Not sold on this horse, but may have to add it in case the sharps know something I don't.  

Race 2

Liking the #3 here, horse seems to be improving, speed figures are.improving and is coming off a nice 1:53.3 figure.  I see this being a threat.

#5 has to be in the ticket, fast numbers great driver/trainer and dropping in class.

#1 has to be included as well here and I'm liking the #9, the speed is there to compete in this one

Race 3

#1 looks good, it's a $176,000 horse, it has better numbers than most in this field.  

#5 is interesting, has a driver change tonight with Jamieson taking over the bike.  It's won before 3 races ago it seems to be one of those horses that if it wants to run it will or if it's in a mood it won't.  At 10-1 I think this one needs to be included.

Finally #6 is on, coming off 3 straight wins.  Likei the heavy fave here.  May add the #7 as well, but she doesn't stand out to me here
