Harness Racing Ontario - Mohawk specialty + other B tracks occasionally

I only have our big play alive now....so I am now doing Pick3's because right now, this 20 CENT ticket is paying $500 minimum...maybe $1000 minimum regardless if it went morning line faves the rest of the way

That's my problem.  I look at odds board I look where $$$ is going especially right before it goes off I figure that sharp money is being wagered as t that time and I follow the sharps.  I didn't realize the #2 was actually 3-1 on the ML, you would think sharps would have bet that down 

Sharps are people who are in the barn....in the know or study and remember tendencies....odds don't matter to sharps when it comes to horses. Its different than sports and I took over 30 yrs to learn that and have had my best successes the past 5 yrs as a result

Some back up plays.... I don't think you have to until race #5 but I am always doing this as it protects my cash stack...sometimes it can burn it, but in this case, since a fave did not win, I know the payout is a minimum $500 now

When we get to race #5....save some money as you will have to pound #4.....bet some on #7 and #10.....I would go like: 

$20-50 to win on #4 

$10-20 to win on #7 and #10 

-and depending on how much the payout is alive .....if over $1000....then even up those bets and put $5-10 on all other horses you don't have not mentioned here

Unfortunately, if #3 wins here....the Pick5 might only be paying a minimum of $250-300 ....I hope its more but when I see 1-9....thats heavy hitters punching $1-5 Pick5's possibly taking a bunch in the first race....keying Dunn in the second and #3 here....so then keying #5 in the next race with 2-3 horses in the last race

If Locatelli loses in the 4th race....look out, this is paying real well....or if Lyons Sentinel loses here

Pretty much a foregone conclusion #3 wins here.  Can't remember when a 1-9 horse lost

Even $250-$300 payout is a good return in a $76 bet 

Thought the #6 was gonna catch the #3 there.

Hopefully we can still get a good payout if the next race works out

Race 6 - race between #5 and #3 likely but might put in #1 and #7...........#6 does not have enough finish speed or leaving speed to have a chance

Race 7 - 5689....maybe #2 as a sentimental dog added

I am spending about $150-200 myself only because I think #5 will win and would kick myself if I did not get my money back or near it for the late PICK5

Bet hedges to get your original money out + whatever you hedge and then sprinkle more on the horses to spend about $150....you will get it back for the next Pick5

 That was fun....my wife and I were cheering the #5 ....she just bought a gravel training bike for $3000 and new shoes and pedals for $300 for it.... I just paid for the pedals and shoes!
