I hate to be labeled as a "lurker" - why not post your top 4 with a BRIEF comment on how and why you would bet it (value or what angle you see), just a thought....

Well since nobody tails I like #3. And #4 for pick 3/4/5/6

Nobody wins just playing win. Nothing like hitting a 6k tri or pick 4. But you have to spread out on those bets which is fine as long as your playing them.

Guys like TexanGambler posts enough plays to cost thousands a race. Nobody has money to play over a hundred grand a day.

Another thing, most good cappers don&#x27;t play every race. No money to be made in short fields. Myself all my signups have been tris or pk 4s but how do you post those? I play high risk compared to playing win only and used to do write ups but just to time consuming.315 I know you are a decent capper and jenny poo sucks.

I like to pick my spots &amp; if I really like something I post it. If I&#x27;m investing in a few races @ a few tracks I&#x27;ll post that as well.&#xD;&#xA;I play to win &amp; wheel somebody in DD &amp; exactas. Rarely, if ever, have I posted 4 horses &amp; expected anyone entering the thread to figure out who I really liked/played. Most of the time, I try to explain why I like a given selection. Whether I&#x27;m right or wrong, at least I explained my thinking. I learn nothing about the cappers expertise when I just see #&#x27;s posted. In the past I learned a lot in this forum &amp; enjoyed sharing what knowledge I had with everyone. I still follow Nikki&#x27;s Sandcastle which was a play Hound mentioned probably over a year ago. Not to pat myself on the back, but I can get hot capping Gulfstream which is my home track. But I don&#x27;t take the time to post because frankly who needs the haters BS. Anyway I&#x27;m capping the card @ GP for tomorrow &amp; if I see something I like I&#x27;ll post it.   &#xD;&#xA;315..you &amp; I had our disagreements in the past but I agree this 666 is a royal pain in the behind. In fact, it keeps me away from sharing in this forum because it&#x27;s become a joke. The mods don&#x27;t get it &amp; our quality cappers rarely post anymore. Maybe it will return to the forum we all remember or maybe it won&#x27;t, I guess we&#x27;ll just see.....

Good idea for a topic.&#xD;&#xA;1. If people can&#x27;t use your information to make a wager - why on God&#x27;s green earth are you posting ? For example - how does 2-5-9-7-3B-1A for picks in "race 7" help anyone?&#xD;&#xA;2. And if you want to list a bunch of horses - It is to ignore the picks when they lose but tell everyone how much you won when the race finishes 7-3B-9 and you say you nailed the exacta tri and super !!! way to go !! told you those 2-5-9-7-3B-1A picks were gold Jerry - GOLD.&#xD;&#xA;its a public forum - so people can do what they want - but people coming to this desolate area called the horse forum probably show up to get help to make money - not to cheer for your picks.&#xD;&#xA;also - if you are a lurker - stop in a say thanks - or just drop a freaking in the thread.&#xD;&#xA;MEGALOCKS - "You WANT to punch us in the face"&#xD;&#xA;MEGALOCKS - "When you just have to win"

It got to me too a few days ago and I went elsewhere but then I realise,you know what....frickin life is too short and unpredictable.

I don't know others circumstances,etc.....that could be causing them to be that way.......so I will just be civil........Regardless.

Now, now people...you&#x27;re forgetting 666&#x27;s golden disclaimer:"...of course, I don&#x27;t play EVERYTHING I post..."I mean, who would be proud enough to claim a race where you predict 4 horses from a 8-9 horse field...and the best you do is a 3rd place finish by a 3/1 SHOT?  Don&#x27;t sound the &#x27;BOOM&#x27;-alarm yet!But if one of the MANY longshot/guesses/misprints should hit the board, BOOOOOOOOM -- definitely had it THAT time!  And the fact you have to call out mushers and lurkers along the way only adds to your own insecurity.No matter where on this site you post, you&#x27;ll always have someone on the opposite side of your stance.  But how you handle it, and especially if you provoke it is up to you.  I&#x27;d rather be "labeled" as a lurker, than that dope who throws up half the field EVERY TIME, RARELY comes out positive money, and CHERRY PICKS what race was factual and what was "posted for fun".I support 315&#x27;s message and findings.  If you insist on your post being at the top, all day every day, then be prepared for the feedback.

I am a &quot;lurker&quot;.  I enjoy tailing mstrH. He is consistent with his picks and usually gives a good idea how to use them. I do like to play tri&#39;s and supers as well. Handikapper1 posts every so often and I like how he shows his plays. Obviously I don&#39;t play for the amounts he does.

One of the several problems with this forum seems pretty simple to me. there are plenty of people that for whatever reason enjoy criticizing others and making fun of something someone else posted but the vast majority of these same people have not and will not prove that they are so much better. i really struggle to see why it is so difficult to post actual wagers/plays. i really don't see what is so hard about this. if you have multiple win bets in the same race then just say that. if you box the exotics then say that as well.

most importantly - if you are so "sharp" and "smarter than the rest of us" and you "get so much value" then why not just come in here and prove it. personally I find this to be extremely childish and immature when someone acts like they are the king of the world but they won't go out and prove it. my instincts tell me this will never happen because these same people are EXTREMELY concerned with their "covers street cred" or "what they posted".

another thing that is laughable in this joint is the lack of understanding of basic mathematics and ROI. a while back someone got their giggles and laughs pointing out that i went 2/16 one day while conveniently overlooking the two wins were at 10/1 and 11/1. i certainly didn't enjoy 2/16 but that only matters relative to your style of play. ROI needs to include ALL wagers so if you have six million bets per day it includes all of them. some people insist on trying to grind it out playing a lot of favorites and that is their choice. others have a different approach.

let's take a looksie at some simple math:

4 horse EBX for $2 that pays $72 is the same as a $24 win bet that hits at 2/1. yet the guy cashing this "huge exacta" will rip someone that played a horse at 2/1.

laying 10/11 in those cutesie basketball games with 10 plays at $100 per game when you go 6-4 results in ($1100 risked plus $660 returned plus $600 returned) a ROI of +14.5%. guys do this and they walk around thumping their chest and smashing beer cans against their forehead as if they were the smartest man on the planet.

math is math. can't avoid it. no shortcuts on the tote board.

that would show up here and there but for the most part there was a lot of good info whether it was picks, race setup, trainer intentions, etc. It wasn't about who was the best, people had their good days and bad. Now most days you'll just find bickering and other assorted weirdness and like some have said, it caused them to not even bother posting anymore. I think all 4 options are ok 315 as long as all this stupid b s that has been going on somehow stops.

Every track analyst and TRACK PROGRAM in the country lists their TOP FOUR selections, because there are MULTIPLE exotic wagers and all forms of betting. Why is this so upsetting??? The problem is one guy that starts ALL the problems and its not me. I try to help. IF YOU DONT LIKE MY PICKS DONT USE THEM.

If you&#x27;d like me to post my number next to multiple picks, I can do that but they would have no meaning to you since I incorporate a few (very few) other factors into the number.

However, if you can find the time for, say, just the real big races to provide some analysis, I think a lot of us would appreciate it.

I&#x27;m not perfect, and wouldn&#x27;t dare go tout on this sport... but it feels good to post a hunch play or a trend I&#x27;ve noticed, and possibly help a fellow capper out.  I only takes a few seconds to acknowledge a guy&#x27;s pick/angle...especially if you know you used it to win!
