There's some nice talent scheduled to participate on the card next Saturday including Baffert's National Treasure shipping in from Cali with Prat for the 3 million purse in the feature race. Think about it. In 2018 the purse for this Pegasus Invitational race was 16 million & you had to pay a 1 million entrance fee. My my, have times changed. Now it's 3 mil & you get in for free.
Frankie Dettori is riding on the card. He'll be on #11 Crupi for Pletcher/Repole.
Pletcher has 2 in the big one & Saffie Joseph (who has been red hot winning @ 29%) has 2 entered. Joseph ran #2 O'Connor in this race last year finishing 11th. But he's won 2 in a row & may be worth a small WPS play. He's won 12 of 27 races but has only banked 750k at the age of 7. His last 2 wins were both in traffic situations with great rides by Tyler. But Tyler hops off here & Waco Paco hops on.
Pletcher says you need a lot of luck going into the 1st turn on the GP dirt track. He's won the race twice with Arrogate & Mucho Gusto. His #7 National Treasure ran 2nd in the BC Dirt Mile when nosed out by Cody's Wish & we know how big his heart is. Check out the replay of the race. There was bumping down the stretch but no way were they going to take down Cody's Wish & screw up the fairy tale ending. This colt is no cinch to win as his 10-2-2-2 record indicates & finishing off the board in 4 starts.
#5 Trademark for Vickie Oliver (love those small barns run by females) beat Brad Cox's #8 First Mission by a nose in their last which must have surprised Cox because his guy was the heavy chalk. #10 Il Miracolo ran 3rd in that race.
Jose Lezcano will be coming from Aqueduct to ride 3 on the turf in races 2, 8 (AE) & 12. I mention this because he's one of the best on the turf IMO.
Feel free to provide your nuggets!

Gr 1 World Cup, almost all these entries have excellent credentials. The one Nimitz Class jumps out to me a little. Three triple digit beyers last year and hit the board all nine starts. Big step up but has a great post and a good trainer. Underneath?
Another the three Dynamic One,if the pace is super fast which I think it will be, gives him the best chance, having the best late speed in the race. He wants two turns and distance , gets it here. Classy enough at good odds.
Lots of great races Midnight. Look forward to your thoughts.

Doc, #3 Dynamic One got pinched badly coming out of the gate in his last after being on the bench for over a year. He was done by the half mile as the chalk. He has nice works leading up to this race & ya gotta always look at the Pletcher/Repole/Irad combination. I imagine he will take a lot of money.
I have an anti-Cali shipper capping bias, so I won't be on Baffert's #7 Natural Treasure. I think #8 First Mission (Saez/Cox/Godolphin) will challenge for the lead along with #4 Hoist the Flag & IMO #7 doesn't seem to like being challenged & throws in the towel coming down the lane. I think it sets up for a closer like #2 O'Connor or #6 Senor Buscador or #11 Crupi or #12 Skippylongstocking.
I'll be taking a closer look at the card tonight & I love the big fields. Prat, Garcia, Moore, Lezcano & Dettori. Even Scott Spieth has a mount in the 11th.
Weather is supposed to be gorgeous which should make for fair racing.

Race 1 I remember #2 Big Brass Bed being owned by Peter Brant & trained by Lisa Lewis when she broke her maiden. After the win, Chad Brown took over & she ran 2 well bet stinkers which put her on the bench for 6 months.
She's now with Brendan Walsh who is 1 for 33 @ GP.
However, if she can come back from the layoff in good shape, I think she will blow away this field with Dettori getting the ride. The drop in class may be the answer as well.
#7 is the unknown for me having never gone the distance but attracts Prat for Clement. She too has a problem having been away for 9 months & has only banked 13k..
I've been waiting for Vincent Cheminaud (1 for 34) to win a few but he hasn't even with getting good mounts. He's on #9 here for new trainer Robert Falcone.
I don't see #5 Demogorgon going off @ 30-1. Sneaky smart trainer Fernando Abreu moves this filly back to the grass.
2-7-5 will be in my 1st half of the DD play.

Race 2 is packed with a bunch of 1st time starters with nice breeding & good trainers.
I'll have to see the tote but if none of the firsters win at 1st asking , my eyes are on #6 Rapid Grey with Tyler/Casse/Barber who has been well bet in both of his tries.

Race 3 Jose Lezcano is in from NYC to ride on the turf in 3 races. He's on #2 Leave No Trace. In her only try on the turf she went right to the lead & tired on a yielding track & she's sure to get firm footing tomorrow shortening up to 7.5F from her last which was 1 1/8th. Maybe she likes the firmer going & the shorter distance & @ 30-1 ML, she caught my attention.
#12 Spansive for Pletcher/Repole has won 2 of 3 but has been on the bench for 7 months.
#4 Fast as Flight is going shorter for red hot trainer Brian Lynch & was right there in her last until she was gobbled up. She's banked almost 400k.
I don't see much else in this race.

Race 4 is a "stable" play for me in #1 Beechnut Trophy with owner Ken Ramsey. Had her when she won her last paying about 10 bucks & she likes the GP All Weather surface better known as the Tapeta surface, I'll make a WPS play here @ 12-1.
Everyone will have to catch Waco Paco who will go to the lead on #5 Sand and Sea. She's 3 for 3 over this surface for Riley Mott who is Bill's son.
#7 Time Passage will be dangerous with Zayas riding for SFLA trainer Eddie Plesa who owns this filly. Her last was a stinker but she had won 4 in a row.
I'll try to add to this thread tomorrow

It's a glorious morning in SFLA. The sun is shining with a light breeze coming off the ocean. I mention the breeze because Gulfstream is less than a mile from the ocean. There are a few scratches most notably in Race 3 #4 Fast As Flight won't be going.
Also, there are a number of AE's that have scratched into the 8th race including 2 for Mike Maker.
I am as sober as a judge right now but as the day progresses that will change & you will probably see more typos & other errors. So be careful & double check my statements as the day goes along.
Join in if you wish.

Yeah, the three dynamic one needs things to break just right but I tend to think his last was more of a time up for this. Like the fact Irad stays on. With you on first mission. Both will be part of my late pick four. Don’t know who you use betting wise but don’t forget NYRA has an opt in for $20,000 share of late pick four. Free money. Gl Sir
